#blacklivesmatter is the biggest load of crap, and I would be absolutely disgusted with myself if I supported any group that preached about killing white/black/hispanic/whoever people. That is what is so infuriating about it. People want to say things like "well people saying #alllivesmatter are part of the problem"...🤔really? Because I won't stand up and support a group that says "black lives matter but the white folks, y'all kill them". What kind of idiot would I be stand there with my arm around someone who wanted me dead? So again... I'll say this... ALL LIVES MATTER!!! Black ones, white ones, cop ones, unemployed ones, poor ones, rich ones, and so on.
Like I said to someone else, I don't support the people that are trying to turn the movement into an excuse for violence and more hatred. That's not what it's about for me. I don't condone that.
Okay, thank you for that because those people are rather ridiculous. But this is kinda the equivalent of me saying "I don't support the KKK, or people trying to turn the movement into violence, that's not what it's about to me". There are interviews of men who originally joined the KKK under the false idea that it was a Christian vigilante justice type group for things such as wife beaters, or bootleggers, so on. One of the big leaders now still is saying "this is a Christian organization that doesn't support racism. A few bad apples shouldn't spoil bunch."... rrrrrighttttttt, I'm sure it is... giving this guy the side eye. See what I'm saying here? By you supporting the minority of such a cancerous group it makes your stance here so incredibly weak and only serves to further divide us. Saying things like "all lives matter is part of the problem" is ludicrous. The majority of us don't want to see innocent black men gunned down in the street. (Continued..)
We don't want to innocent cops shot for doing their job. We want to see guilty cops in jail and we want to see thugs in jail. Most of us are all on the sams side but we are so busy saying "us" or "them" that we can't even realize that its a "we". We the people are tired and just ready for right to be held right, and wrong to be held as wrong. But as long as we are divided by a cancerous group such as BLM we are still divided.
We are divided by so much more than that tho. And just to clear the record, I believe that all lives matter. I just don't feel like America does. It's so much deeper than just these killings. It's the fact that in 2016 I still get called niggers and monkeys. It's the fact that I still get followed around stores. It's the fact that half the people on this Take have thrown excuse after excuse at me as to why I'm not allowed to be upset. I stand for unity. I understand that some people have used this movement as an excuse to be violent. I don't support that. But I will continue to say that black lives matter until I feel that they matter to everyone.
Oh I agree it's a problem. I have been on the receiving end of whites spitting on me and calling me a n** lover, good ole boy backwoods cops harrassing me and my , at the time, black boyfriend, black people who deemed me the rich white bitch, and people who hate my children because they have a Spanish father. Racism does run very deep still. And I also think you should be mad. Everyone should be mad that this is where we are at in 2016. But I also think you can't fight fire with fire. Wasn't it MLK who said "can't fight hate with hate, or darkness with darkness, only light can drive out the darkness". I just feel that group is a darkness, and I think that's where a lot of the excuses come from on this take from both sides. People are mad and they are screaming but often times once screaming starts, listening and reason end, and that leaves us both just angry and defensive. We gotta find a way to unite and see that we all are for the same thing, gotta be the light.
Those black people who are racist against white people and are violent make all the good black people look bad. :( Horrible what happened to those cops!
@RainbowFanGirl agreed, and the same thing for the bad cops, they ruin it for all of them, or racist white people. The few bad out there make us all look bad. Glad that I know so many good people of every color from every walk of life! They are so refreshing in a world filled with so much hate. And glad to see people like you who always have such kind words for everyone! I don't think I've ever seen a negative comment from you on here lol. Such a kind person! World need more like you! = )
Bob Marley is not black, he's half white, you're not reaching black people. If all lives matter where are you in support when a black person is killed by cops? You idiots don't even stand by your own slogan, all you ALM people need to go swimming in a live volcano.
@StreetLevel Thank you. 👏👏👏👏👏. Swell job theere on uniting people, and not comprehending anything that I said, and doing EXACTLY what the problem is which is scream and yell without any listening or reasoning. I mean superb performance , really. Now that you've gotten your temper tantrum out of the way child, feel free to address me like an adult and a civilized human being, and I will show you the same respect. Until then, sit down.
I have been so angry since I have heard about these two latest shootings. I don't know what to do or how to help but I know that we must change. Maybe we would all be better off if the human race was wiped out entirely, in the hopes that some form of benevolent alien would take over the planet and govern it more responsibly. Because we sure as hell haven't been able to do it.
you mention the fear for black males in your family. i have to say that the same fear has started to encroach upon my mind.
i fear, and i know that there are extenuating circumstances in many of these situations, that one of my uncles, my father, my brother or friends could end up in a similar situation to the approximately 250 black men (or 600 men in general) who have been unarmed and died at the hands of a police officer.
i've had greater fear that i could end up on the wrong end of a gun, leaving my wife and 11 month old daughter to fend for themselves... I grant that there hve been situations where perhaps things could've ended differently if things were handled differently (not only by police but by the suspects)
but i think it's a really sad state when a black man like me (who has had cops pull guns on him for a simple traffic stop), has to be concerned than any wrong step or perceived misstep could be my last breath
We are with you black people. It doesn't matter what is your colour So many black people out there are such good people and such talented ones Also it doesn't matter how much people are against you. They are totally super dumbs. Think about the people who support you no matter what.. And well done. Good take
Thats all good just make sure you speak out when a Black cop or gang member shoots a White person for no reason as well. Twice as many Whites shot and killed yearly by cops than Blacks
True, I just notice everyone speaks out against this including many Whites. But if its a White person killed by Black cop or gangster only a few White people speak out and basically 0 Black people.
I completely agree. And that is why I am entirely in favor of the 2nd Amendment and nationwide concealed carry. The police have proven time and time again that they are incapable of 'protecting' us therefore we have to bear the burden of our own protection.
As for BLM, whatever credibility they had is all but lost. If there are any truly sensible souls left, then they better start a new movement or better yet kick all of the thugs and radicals out of their own. The way I see it is that the BLM crowd is more racist than the people they complain about. They want to be the only oppressed minority even at the expense of us Mexican Americans. They are jobless whiners.
Yeah, I'm still kind of teary about Philando Castile's death. This one was too close to home, only a few miles from where I live. All over moving for his wallet. Rest in Peace.
People always talk about black on black crime to divert people's attention away from police on black violence. But what they fail to realize is that when police brutality runs rampant you get things like the no snitch rule which allows the lowlife criminal scum that exists in every community to act with impunity. That's right, rappers and their lyrics aren't the cause of the problems in the black community, they are just the product; you're looking out at a world on fire and complaining about the ashes.
I agree 100%. I'm African American as well, I was just talking about this with my siblings not even 5 minutes ago. It's a constant problem and it's literally unbelievable that both of these instances occurred within two days. Yet again with the death of innocent black men.
"If you can't acknowledge that without bringing up black on black crime, then you are apart of the problem"
Why? Black on Black crime is a legitimate reason to not support a hashtag movement. Additionally that hashtag movement does more to annoy people and cause damage than the good it proclaims it is doing. Some particular examples are hijacking the speech of a candidate that was most likely going to support their cause. Sather gate protest at Berkley University.
Legitimate reason where? So because black people die at the hands of other black people that means that they should be killed wrongfully by the police? What kind of logic is that?
You seem to have made a hasty conclusion there. I said not to support the hashtag movement, that doesn't immediately make any claims regarding police brutality.
Additionally, one of the largest issues with this hashtag movement is that it is solidifying racial stereotypes.
All I see is 'people', rather than colour- even with myself, i am just a man, not a 'white' man
It is unfortunate you are compelled to see yourself as 'black' rather than a nice hearted young woman.
The sad part of this is the insidious treatment of African Americans and other minorities in America forcing this viewpoint. It is so blatant in many ways and this is what makes it so sickening.
Despite this, stay strong and proud for there are many who will respect you for you :)
You know being a SJW White guilt apologist isn't going to change anything because the problem comes from the Black community committing too much crime and not taking responsibility.
Whatever, keep ignoring reality and making "feelgood" comments
I knew you meant it! =) I was seriously just playing, cause I know how you are, and had to tease you. Did not mean for you to take it that way. And I agree, racism is very much still alive here for many people, but there are also a lot of people who support the equality of every race, even down here the deep south where I live. So many good people as well. The bad ones ruin it for us all.
Yes, sadly there are still racists out there, and it's even sadder that, realistically, there always will be. But the truth is that most of it is in your head. But since the cop was white, you fixate on the cop's race.
If anything, the statistics indicate that blacks are the ones that are racists against whites. Despite making up only about 13 percent of the population, blacks kill nearly double the amount of white people than the amount of blacks killed by white people. But no one ever brings that up.
Yes, I agree. Black people are much more racist than any other group in America, and this borne out by the fact that black people support black criminals over law enforcement even when the black criminal is clearly in the wrong.

Five dead cops and you put this out. You are tired of hearing about black on black violence? If never gets discussed except by people who put it on social media. The news doesn't really talk about it. Blacks never talk about it (which is confusing and is also why other bring it up). The black community has a HUGE violence problem. You monster. I don't know how you live with yourself.
@LaVilaine People won't take BLM seriously because we hear from people like you and those in the streets and those who gun down cops. BLM is racist nonsense protecting thugs. How many were shot by other blacks recnetly? You don't know and you really don't care. A guy with a gun in his pocket and a long record gets shot by a white cop and now everyone has to pay the price. No, cops shouldn't have to risk their lives because you want the criminals to get off a shot first. No, just no. Be careful what you ask for, pot shots might start going the other way if other people get the idea that it is payback time. Then Many will get in it and blacks will find out that they are actually a small percent of the population. The world is full of people willing to cause trouble. So glad I don't live in your neighborhood no matter if I was black or white it would be bad.
Which is why there should be no authoritative body charged with 'protecting' us. Disarm the police and extend CCW permits to all law-abiding citizens who undergo the proper training. Then when something happens we will be on equal footing in court.
Wyatt Earp was a lawman and his posse were deputized so the comparison is not very apt. Furthermore such shootouts were actually quite rare in the 'Wild' West. That's why the few that did occur are so famous. Either way, I find such a world a lot less threatening than one where the shooters are given authority over everyone else. Police are just deputized thugs.
"if you can't understand that without feeling the need to shout the all lives matter, you are apart of the problem."
Stop being so racist.
I agree with your sentiment, but I do not agree with the Black Lives Matter movement. It is a movement founded on hate, and racism. They do not care about black lives at all.
That's not how the movement started. I support the real meaning and cause behind it. I don't support the violence. We get nowhere with that. Just more lives lost and a further divide. But go ahead. Call me racist.
Being a police officer in America is a thankless job I would never do. Criminality is so bad in America that the Police have been militarised practically into Paramilitaries because the streets in some parts can be as dangerous as any in Iraq. Issuing a simple speeding ticket can be a death sentence. Its no wonder the Police are so jittery and trigger happy. Personally I think you can put police brutality and the uncalled shooting of citizens along with the overall criminality in America, mass shootings, drug abuse, the growing gap between rich and poor and others as they are all problems of a broken society.

Twice as many Whites killed by cops yearly as Blacks and Black crime rate is overall quite a bit higher than Whites, and both are higher than Asian.

Black people are perceived as more oppressed (the key word here is "perceived"). Blame the PC culture.
Let's pretend that it's not. Oh wait, we've been doing that already. The system was never for us.
Well I got way more upvotes than downvotes so I guess people agreed with my assessment over yours.

BlackLivesMatter is so full of shit. Look at the facts:
Percentage of people killed by cops that are White: 50%
Percentage of violent crimescommitted by Whites: 43%
Percentage of people killed by cops that are Black: 25%
Percentage of violent crimes committed by Black: 23%
These statistics come straight from Obama's DOJ. So take your bullshit somewhere else.
I will keep my bullshit right here, thanks. You can join the block party tho.
Good take but the law and jurisprudence are completely in favor of the cop, good cop or bad cop.
And therein lies the problem.
You got a few links in your inbox :)
Which is why there should be no authoritative body charged with 'protecting' us. Disarm the police and extend CCW permits to all law-abiding citizens who undergo the proper training. Then when something happens we will be on equal footing in court.
@JRICHARDS1996
Going back to OK coral shoot outs in the streets? With all the collateral damage?
Wyatt Earp was a lawman and his posse were deputized so the comparison is not very apt. Furthermore such shootouts were actually quite rare in the 'Wild' West. That's why the few that did occur are so famous. Either way, I find such a world a lot less threatening than one where the shooters are given authority over everyone else. Police are just deputized thugs.
@JRICHARDS1996 those ole time deputized cowboys too were thugs too.
And black crime? It certainly exists: look where the poverty is. Poverty breeds crime.
I sincerely wish all racist whites in the US got a black skin for just one month.
Only one month of their life...
ME TOO
I heard police in the US are trained to be hyper reactive when dealing with black people and a very mild approach when dealing with white people.
I've seen so many videos where a white guy walks around with a shotgun or comes at the cop without even getting scratched up.
It's not the cops fault, its the system and the medias
Oh for sure. I can't count how many times I've seen those videos.
@StreetLevel that's pretty racist.
