I can understand why would think things like this. But put it in perspective of someone in the LGBT+ community. In my case, the strangers that talk to me based on my sexuality make homophobic comments and tell me horrible stuff. Hearing something like an apology is refreshing. It makes me feel so much better about myself.
Now it's time for them to get rid of the stupid oppressive laws that they still have on the books.

This is great! he's actually calling a spade a spade. Politicians aren't usually this candid. If only they were always like this.

"People around the world are praising Trudeau"
Are they really? Many people could care less about such an agenda and not every country shares the same issues.
I´m just waiting for the next election. Trudeau is going down.
What's done is done. I don't think it was really necessary, instead they need to focus on not repeating these mistakes in the present.
HAHAHA THE WAY HE SAYS "SORRY" HAHAHA I LOVE CANADIANS!!!
I don't feel a need to apologize for things I didn't do.
No, they should be the ones apologizing for their public indecency.
Pure publicity stunt. I mean is everyone going to get an apology for stuff that happened 50-60 years ago?
Nope, I'll never apologize to them. I personally never intentionally said/did anything to someone of that community so it's not my problem.

@RachelleDraws Ok, but personally I don't care. That's not my problem like I said.
So there was discrimination in Canada for the lgbtq people and the pri minister apologised did he personally discriminate them or what Iam confused
It's all a distraction from his absolutely awful fiscal policy. As for the apology itself... eh... don't really care since I'm not a Canadian.
What's that bitch apologizing for?
He should be paying more attention to "irregular" immigration, no?
don't apologize for things you personally didn't do. statements like this are unnecessary.
I don't think i should have to apologize for things that had nothing to do with me and in addition i think people should just get over it already.
Every time I hear lgtbq I think of a sandwich then I lose my appetite cause I then proceed to think of buns :(
Each to their, own we all treat people based on our prejudices, apologise accordingly.

Yes, it is necessary. People have been raped, beaten and killed because of being LGBTQ. An apology is a good start...
"LOVE WINS" unless it's someone you disagree with...
