In case you haven't heard the news, Spongebob Squarepants creator Stephen Hillenburg died today at the age of 57 from ALS more commonly known as Lou Gehrig's Disease which is a deadly form of Muscular Dystrophy. In his memory, here are my top five episodes of SpongeBob

One of the first episodes, from 1999 and regarded as the best by many Spongebob fans.

To most of us, Spongebob was our childhood. Stephen Hillenburg also worked on another favorite called Rocko's Modern Life along with Dan Povenmire and Jeff Marsh who created Phineas and Ferb.
