I thought I would bring this up since nobody else has and its a big part of why people never liked him. But there has been a lot of controversy over him beating his pregnant ex-girlfriend. It was actually confirmed that she lied about being pregnant, she wasn't at all. Then there was a lot of talk about her lying about the whole situation, that she self inflicted those wounds. Then there are other things conflicting those allegations. I'm not sure what the truth is, but the fact that she lied about being pregnant loses credibility. Although I am not downplaying the assault, it could very much be true. Although I have seen many accounts where she took back the allegations and said he just broke a couple things and she wanted to get him in trouble. Which isn't that off the fence in my opinion since she lied about being pregnant to make the story worse, which is just weird. But all of that aside, he was a good rapper and he was going somewhere and he died very young. His childhood essentially sucked and he group up with a very rough adolescence as well. Of course he is going to make mistakes, he is young and in that type of environment. It was obvious he was trying to change his life around (or at least it seemed like it, whether thats true or not, who knows). But he is dead now, and its time to lay all of this to rest. A lot of other stars did terrible things as well, I haven't seen the kind of backlash on them because it happened when they were younger as well. He just happened to die during the heat of it all.
He was awaiting trial on beating his pregnant ex girlfriend so I can hardly cry for him. But considering he was my age and an extremely talented person (I had to convince myself to not stream his music out of principle but it was a guilty pleasure, nonetheless) I can’t help but be somber about it. And the way he was shot in his nice ass car and robbed of a louis vuitton bag proves how useless material wealth is when faced with death. I’m going to sound like the typical X fan, but I don’t care.
This man made some incredible music. He talked about his depression and how he wants to change his past. I also suffer from depression and his music has made it better to deal with. His album “17” is still one of my favorite albums to this day. Just this afternoon I was listening to his song “Everyone dies in their nightmare” on my way home from the gym. I took a four hour nap, woke up to find the news that he has been shot in Miami and declared dead. I was in shock and even shed a tear. I didn’t think it was real, but then multiple sources confirmed it. I was sad that a young man who was trying to help people was killed, I was sad that there is not going to be anymore music coming from him, I was sad that murder exists and that his life was taken away so swiftly and at such a young age. His music will never be forgotten and the affect he has had on me.
I never heard of him, but that picture kind of says it all. Hate and arrogance. From what I read about him, he was a violent monster, tortured his pregnant girlfriend, and didn't do ANYTHING to make this world a better place. It doesn't surprise me about what happened to him. It's happened to other rappers.
That is YOUR opinion that he didn't make this world a better place. He was someone to relate to and he inspired and motivated his fans. Most of his fans got over suicidal thoughts and depression. You think he didn't make this world a better place well he sure did for his fans. He did horrible things in the past but it doesn't mean he can't change and he was.
You're getting way too worked up about this. You can be a fan of his music, but this is a guy who has 15 charges including battery and strangulation of his pregnant girlfriend. He's not a good person.
I've never heard of him until all my friends started making posts of him. I looked at what his fans and what people say about him when he passed away. He really made people feel motivated and inspired. He made everyone happy and he was someone to relate too. He had a rough past but everyone makes mistakes and not everyone is meant to be perfect. Quite some people don’t care because they’re either old hags, sleep under a rock or probably never listened to him but oh well. But anyway, It really broke my heart because he was and will always be my favorite rapper. Although he made so many mistakes before and I don’t support any of it he tried to turn his life around and change for the better. I don't wish death on anyone but from what I have heard.. this person was not a good person. That he abused many women. I also believe that if you play with fire like he was doing, that you'll eventually get burned- just as he did. No one deserves to die but I can't say that I'm sad.

He seemed harmless in the few videos I saw then Someone said...”I hope you enjoy hell” and people were liking it. So okay he had a very troubled past, it sounded like he was trying to better himself. I don’t know the whole story. Either way, he was kid and it’s a shame he had to go out like that.
He was a messed up kid that got famous not sure that would have ended well however, no one deserves to be killed like that. I despised him but it's sad that the world is such a shitty place.
Wish more people knew about how others suffer around the world. Men dying for wars they don't know the purpose of and women being kidnapped for marriage and raped. It happens every day.

It’s a shame he was murdered, but the tributes to his importance & character are overrated. He didn’t prove he’d turned things around long enough to show he’d changed.
Now he’s getting martyr status in the music world - overglorifying a legacy that had neither blossomed nor failed yet.
It’d been better if he’d went to jail, did his penance and then we could see what turned out.

The shit he did being downplayed as “everyone makes mistakes” is the worst part.
Back to jail. I mistakenly thought he’d been to juvie, but only had probation as an adult.
I’m old, but I liked a few of his tracks. Hope & $$$ come to mind and he did a song with Travis Barker from Blink that sounded like a 2000s emo track. Honestly, I didn’t get that his music was extremenely revolutionary - most it it reminds me of older emo from a whole back - but he did tap into kids feeling all sad right now.
BUT... all the violence - especially attacking multiple women, was unacceptable.
It's always somewhat of a waste when a young life is taken. I have read that he was not exactly a nice person for much of his life but was trying to turn it around. Still, some people view this as karma. His days of crime and woman beating didn't earn much sympathy.

Well as of right now, he’s still in critical condition. I kind of feel bad for him. He was very misunderstood and I kind of think that he was going through a lot of shit. Either depression or some other serious mental health issue. Don't know who he his and, therefore, couldn't care less. Millions of other people die each and every single day and since I don't know any of them personally and and they aren't involved in my life in anyway, their deaths don't affect me in the slightest. It is what it is.

Heartless would be if someone killed my girlfriend right in front of me and I just walk over her dead body and continue on with my day. Not caring about some kid I've never heard of before his death doesn't make me heartless. After doing some research on him and after reading the alleged things he's done, I feel I am even more justified in not caring than I was before. What is sick asf is you trying to compare the death of someone who allegedly beat a pregnant woman to that of a child that was sexually assaulted and murdered. Children are innocent creatures. This guy is not. I feel bad for the victims of Peter Scully, and am glad they finally have him behind bars, but I'm not going to sit here and cry over their deaths. I sympathize with the victims families and it sucks that they died. . . but I'm not going to pretend to all of a sudden care now that I know after the fact when I was living my life without a care in the world while they were being tortured and killed.
And when you read up on Peter Scully if you don't know who he is, you will become sick to your stomach. He lived a bad life and continued living a bad life. These young rappers need to understand that all this money ain't worth dying for. The more money you have the more problems.
