What are your thoughts on the khabib vs McGregor rematch?

I’m looking forward to it, I wanted Conor to win this first match against Khabib, but it wasn’t Conor’s night. I’m positive a rematch will occur and Conor could very well win this one, knowing where his weaknesses are and what to expect from Khabib. I think a lot of people were happy that Conor lost mainly because he trash talks a lot and acts in a cocky manner. I think Conor is a good quality man and him trash talking is just his way of selling and making his fights more entertaining, I don’t think it’s always personal against the other fighter. From what I see, Conor is supportive and loyal to his friends, family, fans, and country. I also think Khabib is a fantastic fighter as well, specifically his grappling. It was always interesting to imagine what would happen between someone like Conor and someone like Khabib since their fighting styles are pretty contrasting.

Not really a Connor fan myself but I recognise his skill and ability to generate pay per view sales, I dont think the UFC broke 1 million pay per views since 2016. I also don't think Connor is hungry anymore the way he was, it seemed that way in his previous UFC bout and against khabib. His timing was way off and there was no speed.

Yeah, I think you’re correct. Conor’s MMA record is good and he’s the first to hold two belts in two different weight classes, I believe. He’s original and a skilled fighter, but lost to Khabib. Even though Conor tapped, hundreds of fighters have tapped before so it’s not unique to Conor. Khabib’s grappling is very elite and you expected Conor to not fair well if Khabib took it there.

I don't like the Khabib guy because he seemed all like uncontroled when he chocked the irish guy and even when the referee pushed him away he was all euphoric and stuff, i don't like that, there will come another more cool headed fighter and he will have his first lost match no doubt, I extra disslike that even after he won the match he let him self be provoced by someone in the audience and jumped out of the ring to beat him up

So I disslike them both pretty much, they should be both punished by denying the match prize for everything that happened at the end of the match, that would be the right thing to do no doubt!

I should have been more specific, it wasn't just his fans but also his haters. He goes out at the fight promos and gives some smack talk and breaks pay per view records because so many want to see him lose, so win or lose both he and the UFC wins.

For McGregor to win he needs a tune up fight, he didn't have the same snap on his punches and reflexes he had before his lay off which is common. Khabib did well and so did McGregor, but it wasn't like a fucking mauling, apart from that punch in the second round that "dropped" conor (i put it in quotes cuz it didn't really damage him he was just expecting him to shoot and got surprised by a punch) and that little bit of impressive gnp by khabib, neither fighter did much damage. Khabib just controlled the fight. A good wrestler beats a standup fighter 8 out of 10 times. But conor won the 3rd round, so good for him, khabib did really well at being patient and not giving up much for conor to counter punch and controlling range. It really just looked like conor fought too defensively. Im sure if they meet again itll be a more competitive fight and people will always buy a conor fight. As for the post fight shit. It was unprofessional but shit happens, itll be used as build up in the event of a rematch.

I don't really follow MMA, but all I know is that I am no fan of Nurmagomedov. You want to be a bad sport, taunt your opponents and be a jackass to them, be my guest. After watching him having fun humiliating homeless men, recording it and posting it online, all I know is that I went from barely knowing who he is to disliking him.

There's no reason for them not to do a rematch. The fight itself was a bit of a let down but the theatrics afterwards makes it a big sell. McGreggor is UFCs biggest star even if he isn't necessarily the best fighter. I don't even follow UFC and I still watched the fight.

Don't watch UFC, looked and saw McGregor got to keep the fight and saw no ban after some bus incident though.

Ultimately no one cares is my guess, it'll make money, that's the end of the conversation

McGregor was not on form , he needs to work more on ground drills , Khabib was undeniably far superior in this area , hence the win. For decent stand up striking , I would suggest some Lethwei from Myanmar , brutal ( just tape and gauze on hands and all strikes , inc headbutts allowed as well as takedowns ) , but the respect and camaraderie between fighters is not always seen in UFC.
