While I think it may be a difficult task for a very young person to do, I don't think she has any problems and would be fine as long her family is supportive. I think everyone has the right to have an opinion in a democracy. That includes children too although they can't vote. It's the adult's decisions to make up their own opinion and I don't understand how Thunberg's opinions are bothering anyone. I don't think she's emotionally unstable. To me she seems like an intelligent and stable person who knows which rhetoric that's smart to use to gain attention and to solve a political goal. It's actually a good skill to have and she clearly knows what she's doing. You don't have to be a trained actor to convey emotions and a message a good way. Some people just knows it. I don't understand the complains of her getting too much attention either and people complaining about it just contribute to her getting even more.
I think some of the climate changes are natural and some are influenced by humans. I'm not scared of the climate changes. I do however think it's possible to solve it and people should attempt to slow it down. Everything in the world could be improved and that includes climate as well.

As for Greta Thunberg- I'm sure she did better than you could have at the age of 16, and I'm 16 now, and she's done a better job than I ever could have at speaking in front of world leaders, so no it is a cause she cares about, she's not emotionally unstable. She's passionate. There's a difference.
And as for the whole climate change issue. We cannot prove that humans are the cause of climate change, we could be the cause of climate change or it could have happened anyway. We don't know because we can't prove it.
But one thing which any person or child can see is that the way we live now is not good for the environment so whether we cause climate change or not, we should still change because either way we are harming the environment- which is very unethical and it can hurt future generations.
I don't understand why this girl got a platform. Little about her speech talks to the science. it's just an overly dramatic plea and accusation. She doesn't seem mentally ill, just an excited teen-ager with an agenda. Don't know if this is from parent indoctrination or her own thing. No way to know from this clip.

The last stat I saw was that the volume of Co2 around the world, our entire atmosphere, compared to the amount of man-made Co2, the latter is like.0003% or some absurdly small amount. And why it seems the computer modeling they rely on for predicting climate change is flawed.
Sure the majority agree, and they trust their colleagues to have concrete data - this is about feelings, not fact.
I would really like to say that the way she delivered the message seemed wrong to me.

Like she should have started by simply putting the facts and then explain what is wrong today and what can be done, what are the measures that nations should take to protect environment and what steps she has taken to do the same, but what she did is she challenged world leaders in UN assembly, now that's something you should not do in order to Express your opinion.

Well she was clearly raised by progressives, any one raised by them needs a lot of help. Probably doesn't deserve an institution, but she is clearly young, emotional, and childish. Being that she is only 16, I'm not sure why they even entertain her juvenile rants. Obviously pollution isn't desirable, but sustaining large national economies and providing energy for billions of people around the world will have some kind of an environmental impact. These radical environmentalists have zero experience in maintaining an energy supply chain for a country, and they need to sit their cry baby selves back in their parent's basements where they can pretend to be victims and cry themselves to sleep every night.
I disagree with her message, but she is a sixteen year old girl. All of us were like that about things we were passionate about back then.
It was a little overdone and she should not have been the one to deliver the message, if it should have been delivered at all, but she isn't mentally unstable. Just emotional. I get like that sometimes when speaking passionately.
Her parents carry the full blame for the condition she was in yesterday, they know she has asperger's and does not do well in places like that but they still let her be subjected to it, Child Protective Services need to be involved now as the parents are not putting the welfare of their child foremost in their minds and pictures like the one bellow do not help.

I think the responsibilities are a bit much for her being so young and on the Autism spectrum but she means well and the message she is trying to get across is a good one. That message being that real action needs to be taken in order to slow climate change.
It´s clear from recent media this kid is on the verge of having a break down. I wouldn´t be surprised if she soon vanished from the public sphere for an extended period of time.
