Can I get a guy’s perspective: my ex comments/likes my pictures but why won't my ex text me?

Well see I think what ur ex is trying to say well I am not an expert but i think that maybe ur ex still may like u but like prefers to not text u and just comment or like ur pics but I think u should give ur ex time because like if he likes u he would text u but it also depends on why did u two break up and in If u both are in good terms but i think that ur ex is maybe shy to text u because for one u and ur ex are not together anymore and like ur ex may be shy to text u but still may think ur beautiful and all that and may comment or like ur pics because of that but give him time and I know he will confess because I know from experience me being a girl that gets comments and likes from my ex but like he does not text me either but my ex and I ended on had terms anyway back to ur situation I feel that u should just be patient and I'm sure that ur ex will text u.

Have you tried initiating a conversation through the comments section instead of direct messaging and see g if he replies there
