Do you think when it happens to you someone will help? Can you trust anybody will come to your rescue when your in need?

Personally I probably wouldn’t help. It’s not my responsibility to save you from someone else. And I don’t believe people will attempt to save me from someone else. I also believe if I have to rely on someone else to get through such an event it’s because I was too weak to do it myself.

I didn't need to be asked to be included into the draft, I was set to join the Navy and even did my years in ROTC back in school, but then my leg got cut open, severed the tendons and muscles in my right leg and the ER doctor missed reconnecting the tendon. As for being homeless and without food. Let me tell you a story of when I was first starting out. Like most people I STRUGGLED to make money. I wasn't living outside my means. I wasn't eating out or buying expensive things, my job just didn't pay enough and even with my girlfriend (later wife) there too, we didn't have enough for groceries. We had to apply for government assistance. We were approved for $25 a month. Not each of us. Combined, $25. That was our grocery budget. Nobody came to offer to help us beyond that and even that was limited to a certain length of time. We made it work because that's what we had to do. That's why to this day I dont have a ton of sympathy for those who love strictly off government assistance and use it as a free paycheck. We were nearly evicted and had her car repossessed and we avoided all of it. Not because someone offered us money or because someone offered to take us in because we are women. It was because her and I worked HARD for it. We found a way to survive. That and I am super good at finances to balance out to the penny what we had and needed.

Mob justice does have a history. Riots, death, destruction, chaos. It was mob justice and a then feeling that it was right that lead to blacks being hung by Lynch mobs. It’s not for people to decide what is right and wrong that’s what the justice systems for. One person can thing rationally but a mob doesn’t. More recently, whatever you believe, it was a mob that made the Derek Shoven case so controversial. There was no way he was getting a fair trial. The judge even admitted he wouldn’t no matter where he went and therefore refused a change of venue. Mob mentality is dangerous as is vigilantism. Back in the I think 90s there was a mob in I think Venezuela where the people got pissed at American British efforts to control the water under the guise of helping and they killed every American in the country and I think overthrew the government.

Absolutely. Don't get me wrong, I'd be terrified. I'd probably lose in a fight, but to visibly watch it happen 5 feet from me and I pretend it isn't going on, I may as well be dead anyway because I'd have lost my humanity.

I have a bad habit of putting myself out there just to be liked and end up getting hurt a lot, then feel guilty for not doing enough to make them like me. I've even written mytakes on this site about my poor choices I made while being a mother.

Of all my good and bad qualities, one thing sticks with me more than anything else, my integrity. If I promise you I am going to do something, I am doing it. I do my best to lead by example when it comes to that with my kids. I can tolerate a lot of things, but a liar is not one of them.

When you see a hitch hiker walking down the road… do you stop and offer a ride? No because you don’t know if they will kill you… actually truth be told you don’t care your too busy with your day to day.

When you see a homeless person with a sign begging for food do you ALWAYS offer food?

When you see someone being bashed online because their opinions different do you ALWAYS defend their right to a different opinion?

When you make $2000 in a month from your hard work but you only need $1500 to cover your bills… do you donate the extra $500 to help others?

When you see a dog with a collar do you grab the dog call the number on a collar and wait for the owner to arrive?

Maybe you should be charged for not offering assistance to all these situations? Just because you think that rapes worse then most crimes, and rest assured I agree, does not mean I’m required to help. This man could've had a gun. With today’s society he very well could've sued if I hurt him protecting her and then I could actually lose… seen this one by the way. This woman could have treated every other person like shit prior to the rape.

You’ll never be in a situation to help me but if I were in an accident I’m odds are you’d be one of the 90% of people that would just continue walking assuming someone else will help or assuming someone else called 911.

It sucks and yes men SHOULD help but… the reality is there’s no benefit in helping her. I wouldn’t do it. I’m not getting shot for someone who, in all likely hood, wouldn’t do the same for me. I mean statistically she was a woman and STILL not one man cared enough to step in out of what 20-30 people? So if a woman cannot get the support of one man or woman what’s the odds anyone would help a dumb white man that tried to butt into something that’s none of his business?
