The European countries have similiar plans and as it seems the manufacturers are switching off production of fossil fuel vehicles around that time anyway.

So demand will be super high, and electric cars will be more likely to increase in price due to high demand unless they will use a different type of battery, hemp based or something else which is easier to obtain.

Planes won't be flying with electricity as the batteries required are too heavy, so they will be flying but without any passengers or cargo.

It is a bad idea. Currently electric cars are bigger net polluters than gasoline-powered ones. The materials needed to make the batteries are mined using very destructive methods. There is no good way to recycle them once they wear out.

As bad as that, California already lacks the electric power infrastructure to avoid rolling black out now. Ass millions of electric vehicles that have to be charged - using quite a bit of fossil fuel to generate - and it has the makings of a disaster.

I heard about a guy who wrecked his electric car and became trapped in it and he burned alive in it cause the doors would not open due to something that is on electric cars but not on gas cars.

Most people cannot afford electric vehicles, and that assumes that the prices for them won't rise just because of government-induced artificially-high demand. That will drive up prices for used gas-powered vehicles and will force people to leave the state.

It will become just like Puerto Rico, 30-year-old cars that become classics. Parts will be cheap until they become scarce. People will still drive gas powered cars because can't afford to go buy an electric car

Rolling brownouts. (CA's electrical grid can barely handle current demand and had rolling brownouts during lockdowns when more people were using the system.)

People will be worse off financially. (A $40k plus electric vehicle costs much more than a gas powered car even if gas was $10 per gallon for years. Plus it would put people in tier 3 of the electric bill rates, costing hundreds more every month to charge it.)

All car dealerships in california will go out of business. Car dealerships in Nevada and Oregon will spring up on the California border and do a big business.

It will just accelerate the current exodus of residents and businesses from the state of California and make them even more desperate to find a way of taxing people and business who leave the state.
