By the time it hits North Carolina on Sunday it will probably be more of a tropical depression or a thunderstorm system rather than a hurricane.

A storm’s brewing & it’s probably going to visit me as a tropical storm however I’m ready just in case & my window condoms (boards) are ready.
Nope, not anywhere near me. We don’t get that kind of weather in this part of Canada. We usually have to watch for tornadoes, severe thunderstorms, ice storms, and whiteouts or blizzards.
Atlantic Canada was just hit very badly with Hurricane Fiona - it is the worst storm to hit Canada, period - and they are watching this next one very closely. Atlantic Canada is very prone to hurricanes and tropical storms.
Yes I am south of Tampa in Sarasota. We have hunkered down as the winds are already blowing and raining. News said it should hit land by us in about 4 hrs.
Hubby just came back home and said pack up the kids and we are heading to Ft Lauderdale to stay with some friends for a couple of days.
I am in Mexico, nice weather here but I used to live in Florida
I'm clear up here in Indiana by the time he gets here it's just be some strong winds and some rain not much it never is that much but if you're down south like in Florida find yourself some shelter or put your head between your legs and kiss your ass goodbye either way
no. Not at all, I live way up north.
We may get some rain out of it next week is about all.
On a side note we just had a cold front come in Sunday, high winds, driving rain. There were wires down, transformers on fire, trees down all sorts of fun things.
Our department was out a couple hours on call, and we cleared 2 trees off of 1 road.
Not related to the hurricane at all.
Thankfully no. But i also dont watch the news so im just now hearing about it
@dizzydesii how far away are you?
MS so we may see rain if that
It was projected to pass through Jacksonville but the most recent projection shows it making a southerly turn and passing through Orlando and then back into the Atlantic. We will get buckets of rain and local flooding.
@OlderAndWiser Yup, but the good thing about living in Orlando is that usually by the time a hurricane gets to us, it is usually significantly weakened.
@Inbox Stay tuned! Video at 11.
An extended evening t-storm
Not yet. We might get some rain after Ian hits land and drops to a tropical depression... we're far enough north. I do have relatives in Florida, though, who are in Ian's direct path. They are not on the coast, though they've prepared, and may decide to evacuate.
I've never had a hurricane in my life and I never will I think where I live. I might move at some point in my life so maybe I will experience it.
Nope, I have to worry about tornadoes instead of hurricanes.
Good , I used to live in Florida but now I am in Mexico, the weather is nice here.
Same. That's what I get for being near
Tornado Alley
It's headed straight for me. Doubt the impact will be that much worse here than some of the crazy thunderstorms I've already repeatedly dealt with.
I hope you're alright, man.
No thank goodness, but IT is Affecting family members
@jenniferbiarizona hi 💜 🙏
Yeah but by the time it gets to me it will be just rain
@lilybyte where are you?
Oh good
@lilybyte hopefully you will be okay
Stay safe 💜
Nope I’m in Canada, we’ll probably feel some effects with some weather. Probably hot or cold. But where I am we will be pretty safe
Thankfully, no. But for the people who are please get the hell up out there and don't wait till the last minute.
Not at the moment. I am in Texas. Hope everyone out there is being safe though. These times surely suck
I'm not in the United States but I've heard about Hurricane Ian. Hope it doesn't kill anyone.
Maybe it will be someday. I like crazy weather.
Somewhat I guess but from what it looks it seems like it might miss my city judging by the picture
Yeah, in a couple of hours it's going to get really intense. Power hasn't gone out quite yet though. Lucky there.
No.. Never been in a hurricane, per se. Would love to experience one though 😁😳😍
I expect to catch a little of hurricane Ian. This storm doesn't seem like a big deal, especially for Floridians who are hurricane veterans.
As long as you aren’t in Tampa, it’s no big deal
I’m on the other side of the country. I am worried for you all
Not really. Thankfully it turned away from my state.
I'm pretty sure if it was, they would be saving their electricity and not on GAG.
No but my dad in Florida is since he is near the Gulf
Looks like home will be getting it Sunday but I'll be in Memphis, so I'll miss it.
I'm in ca us just fires an mild weather right now
How often do you use your pool
An if you live where you get snow do you drain it before winter
Will be later this week
Georgia
Nah its going more north towards Tampa I think. In other words all the water is sold out in Miami for no reason
Just tropical storm winds here… No big deal. Just going to be a rainy day most likely.
Yes he is.
Ian live in the same house as I do.
No I’m in the West Coast about 5 hours from the beach.
Not for me, hope those near there are okay and doing what is best
No there no hurricanes in OKLAHOMA
Lucky you
Yep, but it'll be a cat 1 by the time it hits my county.
I’m in wildfire land thankfully 🥴
That's the spirit 😂
Dr. Ian Malcolm is about to put deez nuts in yo mouth. ZINGO
Surprised Floridians will believe the fake news media and experts when it's a natural disaster
CNN is covering the hurricane, everything they say is wrong right? So what's the big deal?
Just some rain and wind.
Also, it's pretty difficult to diagnose a mental retardation from a forum post. I'm questing your authority to make that assessment
Florida is a financial liability to the country, they use more tax money than they contribute. Stop making Americans who made better choices in living in areas not prone to big storms pay for your "retarded" choices.
What Floridians look at the data from National Hurricane Center updates and various mathematical models, not guys leaning into the wind in a city an hour away from the storm in a puddle of water while they cry about climate change. That's the difference between scientific information and propaganda.
It's hilarious you would complain about federal funding going to Florida, when Florida is one of the states that provides the most military men, engineers and develops a lot of defense products that the federal government purchases, is a major player with NASA and the space industry, and even was a major manufacture of COVID vaccine components that you seem to worship... We actually provide something for the security of the nation and advancement of our nations technology... Yet your state representatives vote to send hundreds of billions of dollars to Ukrainian Nazis so that they can fight a proxy war with Russia in an attempt to provoke WWIII. Your priorities are very clear.
Isn't Zelensky Jewish? LMFAO. And I'm not complaining, just pointing out subtle ironies. But Florida brain I guess. Lay off the bath salts
I'm pretty sure it is impossible for a hurricane to hit Misouri
No. I’m in the Northeast.
No it's not coming to India.
Yes I know lol
@reddy4it 💜💃
No! Very far away from it
How close is it to you?
No, I am in Belgium
No but I pray for those who are 🙏🏼
Let everybody know in a day or three!
Yup right over me
It’s heading to Tampa. I am in Miami
Yup, predicted to be a direct hit.
It will go out to sea before it hits me
No ı live in Turkey. Do you feel IAN
No. I’m in Tennessee
Nope we're good here
Not even close.
Saturday it will be here as rain
Thankfully no, and I hope you are safe.
Hıı🖐🏻
