Getting nervous about the chances of WWIII happening is that anything to worry about?

WWIII started pretty much the same day WWII ended. It was just a cold war all this while. At the moment it is a warm war, with Ukraine being used as both trophy and proxy for all of democracy. The problem is that Russia has somewhat powerful sympathizers in China and Saudi Arabia, but they are not allies. As long as Russia is blowing through all its conventional weapons, China will continue to buy its cheap gas, but if Russia ever actually launches a nuke, China will absolutely condemn them and Russia will find itself completely isolated economically until those who made the decision are held accountable. So, no one in Russia is prepared to make that decision. They all want to, because they have bought in to that far right theme that all their problems stem from the mere existence of other people, but at least for now they are aware enough of reality to at least acknowledge some dependence on some of those other people.
