He was more well-known as Nick Carter from The Backstreet Boys brother. Although he was very popular in the late 90's early 2000's. His later years were marred with drug and alcohol abuse.
+1 yYup. I remember him so much during the late 90's. I felt a bit too old to be a fan though as most of his target audience were pre-teens and I was already like 18, 19, plus.
It's really too bad. 34 is very young still, especially in comparison to older people. Just goes to show that money doesn't always solve all problems. I think my mom read that he became addicted to drugs in the later years though and had a lot of mental health battles/issues. RIP and condolences to him and his family.

+1 yi can't say i was a fan but i think i liked a couple of his songs. i was and still am way more into the backstreet boys. but nick carter is a very abusive person. there's actually audio footage of him threatening and possibly beating aaron. you could chalk this up to brothers being brothers, but i think it was more than that since nick was also accused of sex assault by melissa Schuman from the girl group dream. so nick's violence was a dark cloud over aaron's young head growing up and living in his brothers shadow.
it's sad to see aaron go. i wonder what really happened in that bathtub. i don't believe he simply drowned.

sadly that seems to happe quite often.
young kids being very popular, on top of the world and slowly fade off into oblivion with very little money left because they blew it on all sorts of crap, and they seem to turn to drugs and sadly they are gone way before their time.
There have been many child actors/actresses that have ended up the same way.20 Reply
I don't think I remember him. At first I was thinking was he on Nickelodeon or a Disney child actor? I think I remember he was on Lizzie McGuire. I wonder if his songs were on kids bop (Can you imagine that? Cringe lol 😆🤭😄)
But it's a shame he died, it's really awful. I'll pray for him and his family and friends. Drug addictions and alcoholism is so prevalent and so sad. 😟 Thank you for the information by the way. I'm going to tell my family about it.

No he definitely wasn't kids bop. He was on an episode of Lizzie McGuire and All That I think

Were his songs used on kids bop though? Because usually they'll have the little kids singing popular songs and jumping around like they're having fun. I was thinking what if those kids were trying to rap one of his songs? But still keeping it PG. Oh yeah!! I remember him on All That. Those were the good old days...

Yes i think they were

Well you were too young probably to remember him, that's why.
This song of his is pretty catchy. I actually, now that I think about it, bought one of his albums back in the day. He was a pretty cute kid haha.

+1 yYeah, I used to jam out to him when I was a kid. I consider him my generation's Justin Bieber, and I honestly couldn't believe my eyes when I saw what he had become. He was so stupid. He could've had everything like his older brother, instead he threw it all away. What a waste.

Sadly I agree.
Maybe if he had a life Coach or Mentor? I don't think his siblings were much help, it's sad. Family is supposed to help each other. At least in ways they could have. I heard that his family basically threw him to the dogs when he lost his money and whatever little fame he had.
But then rumors will be rumors. It's good Jamie Lynn didn't have the same Fate, at least I hope not. - +1 y
@TenderFantasy Pretty much. His brother helped him get into the business when he was little, but then when they grew up, they each started doing their own thing. Yeah, I saw him on Steve-o's podcast. He was messed up and said everyone pretty much disowned him

+1 yI think Vaccine killed him. A bunch of 35 and unders are dying after they get the vaccine. Actually record numbers are dying from taking the shot. Media is trying to cover it up or say it was another reason he died. Pro wrestler Kevin Nash's son died in 30's. College Football players dropping dead and all these have heart issue deaths.
00 Reply I wasn’t a huge fan of him, found his songs to be overly irritating. But I was sad to hear he passed. Although I did have to work and try to remember who he was. He just didn’t make a huge impression on me as a kid.

Irritating? Why? Most of his themes were of innocence and fun.

+1 yI liked his songs a lot and it’s a shame that he could not live a normal life after being exposed to so much glamour and wealth. I think his life would have been saved if he had gotten a degree and an official career outside.
00 ReplyYeah I was I think I was 9 or 10 when I was into him as a singer
10 ReplyI couldn’t even be a fan of his eyebrows…I don’t know who that guy is.
He’s a handsome one, though. ☝️
Condolences to the family and fans. 🙏
00 ReplyI wasn't a fan of him, but I'm sad to hear that he died so young. Maybe his life could have been different if he wasn't exposed to fame and money from a young age.

@DaySpring It was a good time to grow up if I may say to you DaySpring. The 90's were, if I can only describe, as fun, exciting, INNOCENT, prettier colors, more mellowed songs at certain times. It was wonderful. Or maybe I am just too nostalgic haha. But school shootings weren't yearly like it is now. Twerking waasn't "a thing" back then, it was the tootsie roll and the Macarena, etc. lol. Nirvana was very popular during the early 90's, MTV still played actual Music Videos and so did Vh1. People still had VHS's in their homes and cassette tapes. CD was already popular too but still a bit newish. Playstation was born this decade and Nintendo was popular too. Sega and more.
Because of all this (and more), I had a great childhood if I may say. 🙂
Oh and the internet was like a fetus/newborn lol.
+1 yYes, he was my first crush. Sad he died so young.
00 ReplyI heard his songs and saw his videos but never was a fan of him or the backstreet boyz.

Do you prefer dark gothic music then? Or Rap? Twerk songs?
Not sure I understand people who don't like happy, cute songs. World is negative enough.
Genuinely curious.
