Russian plans a massive attack soon. 400,000 men, and many more tanks , drones, and missiles. Ukraine is losing men they can't replace and also need defensive weapons to shoot down planes and helicopters.

Bonus question: Would US go into Ukraine with troops if it looked Ukraine was going to lose?

Ukraine won't last a minute with out military aid. Back when George Bush senior was president, NATO asked russia if Germany could join NATO if NATO did not bring in any more border counties into NATO (look up "not another inch east"). Since then, 11 more border countires were allowed to join NATO. (I might have the names/number incorrect since I'm working off memory). What would the US do if russia sided with Canada and mexico, built military bases in these countries! I am by no means condoning Putin's actions, just that NATO has backed russia in a corner. IT'S OUR GOVERNMENTS THAT HAS CAUSED THIS. Again I reiterate, I am by no means condoning Putin's actions.

It would be beyond insane for the US to send its own troops into a ground war in Ukraine. Not going to happen, especially in an election year, especially when you consider that Ukraine means little to the US other than an opportunity for politicians and others to lauder taxpayer money, while it meas a lot more to Russia.

NATO should force Ukraine to the negotiating table with Russia because Ukraine cannot afford to lose more people in a war it cannot win militarily, and losing those people in high numbers has the same effect as genocide would- Ukraine cannot come back demographically from it and that means the end of the Ukrainian nation. It needs a negotiated settlement.

My friends live in Kharkiv. A town that was hotly contested early in the war. They are now able to go grocery shopping.

They have destroyed Ukraine cities and housing. Cut off their energy and water. Their goal is to keep Nato out long term and it looks like a success to me.

Exactly and like the Germans found in ww2 every city they turned to rubble became a fortress that cost German lives. How will it cut NATO out? NATO will continue to arm and provide live satellite images of Russian military movements. After Russia is forced to pull out due to high casualties and failure like what happened in Afghanistan the EU and America will fund a rebuild programme and Ukraine will be free to join NATO and the EU.
