What the hell is going on in California?

Saturday, there was a shooting with 10 dead in Monterey Park (Los Angeles), and now 8 dead at another shooting on a Mushroom farm near San Francisco. Both older people in their 60's and 70's I just wonder what the motive is?

All the victims In Monterey park were elderly and Asian. The rumor is the Half Moon Bay shooting was a workplace shooting
