Did anyone experience any issues with the Microsoft/ Cloudstrike outage?

Apparently, Banks, Airports, Hospitals, and retail are having issues this morning, but I'm not really seeing anything.

Well, if your plane wasn’t cancelled or delayed, didn’t go to a bank, or perhaps weren’t staff in the hospital, retail workers trying to get computers running during these Microsoft connectivity global outage you probably wouldn’t have seen anything.

I didn’t deal with it firsthand but, reports are clear that American Airlines, Delta, and others were negatively impacted by the global outage. Banks and hospitals couldn’t sign into their databases / sites needed to function at their jobs. Retail work, we don’t know the impact except for a few stores like Starbucks.

I had no troubles with Microsoft / Windows though I know this truly only impacted businesses and not the average computer household user since Crowdstrike is the cybersecurity company that allegedly caused this outage due to Microsoft Windows screw up from what I could find.

My computer's been acting very slow the past week or so, it gets this way every few weeks and my best solution is the just shut it off (kill the power without shutting everything off) and start over. I've done that at least 4 times, yesterday, even puling the plug once, and the issue is still not solved. My next move, in an hour or so, is to do a system restore.

I know there is an outage but I don't think it's as bad as people say it is. Today I logged into my credit card to check payments and they gave a disclaimer before I logged in that their customer service lines were extra busy and to be patient if you have to call.

I experienced no problems due to the "outage" as I ALWAYS carry cash. But given the way that most of the windows based systems world wide crashed at the back end of last week did anyone notice that it was caused by one of the WEF's partner companies CROWDSTRIKE? Ever get the feeling it was a test run for something bigger? As not to long ago it was the WEF who was going on about the threat of cyber attacks!

Of all days, that the Microsoft outage happened it happened just as I started to abandon outlook for proton and migrate some stuff. I can't get it done still.

Other than that - nothing. Where I am employed at we don't have any Crowdstrike.

Just to be safe, I am not connecting my PC/Laptop (which are Windows) to the internet just yet. Good thing I can do my side job offline and just stay connected with my phone which is Android so it's not really affecting me all that much. I'm just playing it safe. I'm thinking there might be hackers who would take advantage of that situation.

I couldn't go to Repco to get some brand of cheap brake fluid I really wanted, the sign said closed due to the outage. Sigh. What a shame. I think I luckily still have half the brake fluid left in the car chamber

I had a bad experience with it.

I couldn't find a single channel on television that wasn't going on and on and on about it all day yesterday. That was the worst part of the whole thing for me.

No. I trynot to have to depend on IT systems. I had a career in IT and I know first hand the problems that can happen.

went to pay our property tax bill, and the bank was kaput.

Some gal was in the lobby "explain gin" things. Heck, a sign on the door could have done that better than SHE could.

Personally no but clients have mentioned that both Outlook and Teams were down and the doctors couldn't do anything

I work at an IT firm, of course I did, it was a disaster
