So I’ve just come across the story where 2 astronauts have been stuck in space since June.
They’re “confident” about making it back to earth safely but I can’t help but think it looks so fake 😂 what do you think?

Herein lies the ACTUAL reality of humans in space, YOU CAN'T WALK HOME, IDJIT!
The frailty of even just orbital vehicles was lethally demonstrated when some of the heat shield tiles of our space shuttle came undone upon re-entry. Again, when an 'O' ring seal on a fuel tank destroyed a mission. The cost-cutting substitution of an arcing toggle switch in an early space capsule's oxygen-rich cabin. There's NO immediate 'plan B' alternative.
THAT is the 'reality' of space exploration glamour!~
It ALL comes down to $$$ and redundancy not unlike today's "space saver" spare tires in our cars!
The asker: “ They’re “confident” about making it back to earth safely but I can’t help but think it looks so fake what do you think?”
My answer: You don’t know the contract they signed with Boeing so, of course they will say “we have absolute confidence in Boeing” since when they get back to Earth they don’t want to get sued for defamation or breaking the contract or whatever they’ll pull out of their asses. The fact is, astronauts are stuck on the ISS until 2025 and Boeing should be held accountable for EVERYTHING they’ve done.
Well it certainly appears that they're "stuck" somewhere... But whether it's in "space" or some extremely elaborate film set/studio will always remain the question.
It seems like a film studio to me 😂😂
I'd have to see the actual article to make a judgement. Where do they get all their air from? Maybe they are Lost in Space?

No, the astronauts are not stuck in space. They are living in the International Space Station (ISS) and there are several options for them to come home. Their Starliner spacecraft is the one that is stuck, docked with the ISS with engineers unsure if it can safely fly with its thruster and helium leak issues. Most likely thing now is that they will stay on ISS until next February (2025) and return on a SpaceX Dragon craft. That would make their planned 8-day mission to the ISS last 8 months ,,, not "stuck" but definitely unplanned.
They say they're not gonna get them back home 'til early next year. I don't know why someone would make up a story like that. The thing I find strange about it, is this was only supposed to be a 2 week trip, so I'm wondering how on earth they have enough food and supplies. And why's a rescue mission so difficult? They sent them up there, they can't send someone up there to retrieve them?
"Landed on the moon" my ass!
And how did they record a press interview and why was her hair not tied up lol
I don't know. Probably through satellite somehow.
Space hair looks funnier on the tele
So you really think it's fake? For what purpose?
Sometimes being stuck in space is better than being stuck in hell which is here on earth 🤣🤣
Do you know why god still loves us and cares about us? It's because there's still some people who are innocent, faithful and kind hearted... etc
People like miss alyssa rapunzel and others who are like her, that's why the whole earth ain't burned yet!
Aw thanks! You too!
At present they are stuck. The Boeing craft is not cleared to return to earth, NASA does not believe Boeing that it is safe to return. It is docked to the position where any replacement craft would need to dock, the other potential craft is currently delayed on its launch window and would need the Boeing craft moved first, Boeing would then need to auto return it back to Earth. Possibly January before they return.
They had enough technology to get people to the moon and they can't retrieve two astronauts?
@KostasKouvalis what’s that got to do with literally anything?
That they had the technology to send people to the moon, but they don't have the technology to bring two astronauts home?
@KostasKouvalis erm they do, there is no problem, there is a protocol and Space X has the next launch window. The 2 astronauts will simply join the current crew until space x gets there. They could return on the current Crew 8 vehicle but will likely wait for Crew 9.
As usual the press make a disaster story out of a fairly straightforward event. If there was an emergency then they would return on the Boeing craft. It’s basic risk management. As I said it has bugger all to do with technology not being available.
I don't know anything about it! I only just heard some nonsense about 12 hours ago about how a ship went up there a while ago, docked with the space station and now, they can't get back down because Joe's no longer a candidate for the next presidency!
As for us we’re stuck on this planet & as for the astronauts they chose space so if they’re stuck it’s on them for wanting to leave in the first place.
That’s very fair
And I guess that you also don't believe that the Robinson family was lost in space?
Who even knows anymore
They went up in a test version of the Boeing space capsule. Supposedly the craft is likely to be fine on re-entry but they are being very cautious as killing two astronauts would be very bad for Boeing and NASA, people would be pissed. The CEO of Boeing would likely not stay along with many others so they are probably covering their own butts. The US though can bring them down safely as we have SpaceX able to do it.
Good question I don't know really maybe and some situations maybe sometimes but the animals are usually always better so I don't know it's a good question I don't know animals seem to cuddle more and they just seem to be there more so maybe but I think mostly not good question
this is really embarrassing for a country that was the leader in space travel. They are stuck and the democrat's hate the idea of Elon Musk coming to the rescue since he is a Trump supporter. They would probably rather see the astronauts die.
Well it's a man and woman. Maybe they did it purposely to get more alone time up there 😂
I don't know honestly, and don't really care too much either. They'll be fine I'm sure.
good think they can wait for that long... very lucky, lmao
I think the popular circulating reasoning why they are still there has been fabricated by right wing media
i mean that's quite likely to happen given how cutting edge this entire space travel tech is.
Ca. 8 billion people are stuck in space as well.
Why can't they be stuck in the space station, problems have happened before, and they can't just call for car service to get home
I think that the Starliner craft is flawed and they could die coming back.
Yes, Boeing hasn't had the best track record lately.
Provide the source.
They can return
They won't die there.
Yeah, but it's not that big a story.
No but some have died in space along with aliens that died in space
It’s difficult to tell
Boeing makes shotty products
Are you going to fake space hair?
yeah
