Sorry, this somehow got automatically posted before I even finished the question's title.
Plus, I was hoping to post it in Trending & News, so that way that stupid AI canner wouldn't be able to post.
I’ve been looking into his career and I must say he has some high achievements. Mufasa, Darth Vader, playing the part of Paul Robeson in a TV Movie and Field of Dreams. Really a remarkable guy. I’ve watched Lion King as a child & Star Wars for that matter. I didn’t know it took an hour to three to come up with the idea of how Darth Vader should sound for Episode 4 ‘A New Hope’ then Episode 5 ‘Empire Strikes Back’ it took a whole day to figure out what worked before and what to improve on to make the performance more impactful to audiences the second time around. Really incredible guy James Earl Jones was, I miss him already 93 years old.
*edit If it wasn’t clear my favorites personally were ‘Empire Strikes Back’ and ‘Lion King’. Thank you!
I did watch ‘Field of Dreams’ though only a piece of it, I thought it was good his performance in that too.
I think I'll offer one no one (probably) has mentioned yet and say Field of Dreams. The sudden cry of "MOONLIGHT GRAHAM!", packing so much power and meaning into those two words, is something I think only he could've done.
I didn't hear about this on the news, maybe they'll talk about it tomorrow.
It's really sad, his voice was unforgivable. It's definitely an huge loss, not only for his family and friends but also for cinema. May he rest in peace.
I prefer to enumerate my favorite James Earl Jones roles:
1. James as the voice of Darth Vader
2. James as Admiral Greer
3. James as Terence Mann
4. James as the voice of Mufasa
5. James as General Charlie (callsign 'Alice')

Star Wars. Really never knew who he was outside of Star Wars and the Big Bang Theory.
Hey! That was my question!
James Earl Jones died. What is your favorite role of his and why?
He was a great dramatic actor and of course his voice was amazing.
He was the second black man, after Sidney Poitier, to be nominated for an academy award.
He was in some great movies. I'm not counting voice overs. I can't remember all his roles, but his role in The Great White Hope was amazing.
From 'Coming To America' (1986). Sees son's 'employee of the month' plaque on wall -- 'What is this? What is this?' 'That's your son, down at the corner restaurant. I think he works there'. 'My son works?'
TV show called House. Season 6 episode 3 called the tyrant. Excellent performance.
He did so much over his career, it is difficult to pick a favorite.
I didn't know who he was until his passing was announced.
Star Wars.
Field of Dreams.
Coming to America.
The only one i can think of is Field of Dreams.
Coming to America, the Lion King and the original Star Wars trilogy!
I also loved his narration on The Christmas Miracle of Jonathan Toomey.
Coming to America is one. The hunt for the red October is another. Of course all of star wars.
That’s horrible. They said that he died 15 years ago and that never happened.
Yeah they said that on the news. I feel kind of bad because jus two days ago I saw he was 93 and I said "how is he still alive". 😬
He was very old, so I was expecting he would die soon. But he had a great voice.
Those are the only two I know him from. So I guess Star Wars.
The voice of Darth Vader is my favorite
Field of Dreams.
