The United States is one of the only places in the world we're all a pregnant woman has to do is have one foot over the US border when she gives birth to make her child a citizen.
Then after that happens the left demands that the parents get to stay and become citizens, and then the rest of the family, whether they meet the requirements to become citizens or not.
There is an entire industry that charges fees for pregnant women to illegally enter the United States to drop their babies just to take advantage of this loophole. We're talking as many as 250,000 babies a year! It is insane!
Of course if you listen to the fake news there's all kinds of outrage and accusations against President Trump that he is trying to "overturn the Constitution!" by not automatically making the babies born to illegals citizens. Yeah right. Of course when the Supreme Court ruled against the Democrats, saying that the things they attempted to do violated the Constitution over and over and over again, you never even hear about it in the news.
But here's what I think is really going on. I think President Trump knows there is little chance that the Supreme Court will completely overturn birthright citizenship.
But I think there is a decent chance that they might qualify the interpretation of the law to eliminate this privilege for some of the egregious illegal acts committed by people who break into our country illegally. It's possible they might even eliminate this privilege to all who enter ILLEGALLY.
The original amendment in the Constitution was never intended for the purpose of making the children of people who broke into this country illegally citizens. One of the most important considerations in a Supreme Court decision about constitutional issues is to consider and rule in favor of the original intent of the authors of the Constitution.
So I think this is a brilliant play on President Trump's part. Even a partial victory would be a monumental improvement. Worth a try.

your ancestry in america should have to extend to the early 19th or 20th century, for your citizenship to be legit
but then again tejanos were in texas when it was a part of mexico, and remained there when it became a republic, and then part of the US later on, would they be affected?, due to the fact that they were in texas before it was annexed by the US
No, it is wrong and against the constitution.
Oh so then you are a member of the Supreme Court now?
No, I am simply stated the facts.
I see. So you think that you manufacture the facts because after all you know better than the Supreme Court what the facts are.
