What are your thoughts on the Seismic Streaming Earthquakes at the Santorini Thera volcanic zone?

This thing could send us all back to the Bronze Age if it erupts full power again. It doesn't' go very often, but it's one of the worst when it does go.

I don't see it. That volcano is in the middle of the ocean. While it won't be exactly pleasant for e. g. international plane travel, there are more dangerous locations for a large eruption.

That's the worst place for a volcano to be. Salt Water causes the magma chamber to explode, which produces landslides and tsunami. This last time this one erupted full-power, it wiped out entire civilizations and caused the "Great Famine" recorded in the Book of Genesis.

Pinatubo was a "5" on the VEI scale. Krakatoa and Novarupta are "6" and Tambora was "7". Thera is capable of producing a VEI "8" eruption. Each level is ten times as powerful as the one before it.

And please note, I'm not saying a full-scale eruption definitely will happen. Volcanos are notoriously hard ot forecast. It could do nothing at all, or it could blow it's top like never before, or anything between. That's just how volcanoes are.

I see most of the quakes are happening at Columbo, not Thera, but they are both pretty catastrophic events if it actually erupts.
