Why does it take 5 forms of IDs to be an Emergency Snow Shoveler in New York City but no ID to vote?

Mayor Mamdani is offering almost $20/Hr to start and almost $30/Hr after 40 hours to shovel snow during the upcoming blizzard. There is one problem The New York City Sanitation Department website says that in order to register as an emergency snow shoveler, an applicant must provide two small photos sized 1-1.5 square inches, two original forms of ID plus copies, and their social security card.

5 forms of ID to shovel snow but no ID to vote. Can anyone tell me if this makes any sense?

Seems that lead paint has reduced you to one brain cell, and even that is not functioning correctly.

Passport sizes photos are a requirement to produce photographic ID -they are not ID in of themselves. An SS card is not an ID, but is required to show you have an SSN. The IDs permitted are required to show you have residency in the area, and a copy is for their records.

It's standard fare, and you must be living homeless in skidrow, or under a bridge, if you don't know this.

States have the right to set up elections as they see fit. It is called state rights. The Constitition is pro state rights. Now if you want two ballots , state and Federal , fine. If you want ID to vote Federal ok.

It sounds like he's just making it so difficult because he doesn't want the illegals to do the work.
