For this Valentine's Day Contest, let us know, what is the most romantic thing someone has done for you or you have done for someone else?

Well, my first Valentine experience. It was 1st grade, and a nice smiling girl got me a valentine card and hand delivered. I thought girls were yucky but this one was nice, I was in shock! I was surprised I'd inspired anyone. Didn't know what to do, but I ran and made a card to give to her.

What can ya do... the birds and the bees. I moved away not long after and that's history as it was.

I'm thankful for my honey @midnightmoon05 , she surprised me with chocolates, but she's a fun surprise every day! She is... a box of chocolates!

The most romantic thing someone has ever done for me was when my partner, knowing how much I love books, surprised me with a custom leather-bound journal. But it wasn’t just any journal it was filled with handwritten letters from him, one for each of our special memories together. It was a beautiful mix of nostalgia and love, showing how much he valued every moment we shared. It wasn’t extravagant, but it felt like a piece of my heart had been captured in words, making it the most meaningful gift I’ve ever received.

Ok, so three moments stand out:1. The guy (first boyfriend) who stood under my window and called up for me bc he couldn’t remember what apartment to buzz.
2. (Same guy) gave me a bday card with a cryptic gift only the two of us knew the reference to.
3. (Different guy, years later) sought me out at a public venue just for a chance to hold my hand.

@strateguy632S what can I say. I've inspired some quirky moments. I actually asked my first boyfriend why he did that stuff and he just shrugged, blushed and said I bring that out of him; he was always doing goofy stuff for me and I loved it, but we agreed we were too young and had to stay focused on school, etc. We never formally broke up, just hugged it out after graduation and parted. He's still like an overgrown kid... still single... still very goofy in that charming sort of way. I guess it works for him.

The second guy I asked but he never gave me a straight answer. Also very charming but very much on the quiet side when it comes to admitting his feelings and such. He's also the youngest of three brothers so he gets teased A LOT by his elder brothers who he looks up to when it comes to "getting" girls.

My then-wife gave me 3 beautiful children who, with her guidancesnd nurturing, have grown into intelligent and beautiful adults that we are both proud of.

It was my graduation and there was a guy there I had never seen before. The moment he saw me he had these very happy, glowy eyes. He didn't live in my state, so after my graduation he flew back home that night. Well, he had come to visit my church about 2 months later, he stayed in town for a week. We locked eyes several times and then he left and went back home again. That was in August of '22. Skip to November of '22 he told several guys from my church he wanted to come and ask my dad permission to talk to me. He wanted to make sure my dad would approve of him so he looked for a very good job, and did everything he thought was best to prepare. Even started learning Spanish (that's what my dad speaks lol). Well, all this time I didn't know that since the moment he saw me he said he knew he wanted to pursue me. Skip to December, I finally found out about how he wanted to come to talk to me, my dad already knew. He came, flew from Cali to Texas in March of 2023, (that's when he felt he was about ready, because he was finishing college for his job). Well, he came in March, and met my dad first, didn't talk to me until my dad gave him permission. After about 2 days of him being here and Ny dad getting to know him we finally met. My dad told me that he had asked why he was interested in me and his response was "the moment I saw her I knew I wanted to do whatever to talk to her,". Well, so we finally met after 2 days, and then we started FaceTiming. He knew I liked jeeps. Little did I know he bought the exact one just like my dream jeep after he found out I liked them. Skip to May of 2023 my family and I went to California to spend time with him. Him and I hung out am for a week and a half nearly straight. We played till late at night together, the way he looked at me, everything felt so special. There was so much chemistry between us and everyone saw it. Everyone knew he liked me a lot, and I have hunches because if things he and his mom said, others said, he was wanting to marry me. Unfortunately though, we aren't together anymore, due to his mom ending things. She seemed to struggle with a lot of insecurity as she was a single mom, she told my mom and I if it wasn't for her her son would still be with me. So/ but I think that him working so hard for me (8 months) was sooo special and honestly would have been such a romantic love story in my opinion.

Based on the few dates that I had, by far the most memorable is when I went on a date with a guy across the globe and we had to wait outside for a while because all tables were taken.

Outside, my mind was wandering as I was taking in my surroundings and I noticed him looking at me, so I said "I'm not ignoring you, I enjoy watching people and sometimes I get silent when I do."
He laughed about it and said he didn't mind. We had a little banter about it.

Once we were called inside, he asked were I wanted to sit and then goes "You can go sit on the couch, so you can watch the people." After some time I noticed he was staring at me and I asked why he did that so he said: "Well, you get to see all the people, I only have you to look at." Which made both of us burst out laughing and I invited him to sit next to me instead.

He takes a seat next to me on the couch, bumps his shoulder into mine a couple times and we spend the rest of the night making up scenarios of all the people we could see, what they were doing, what they were talking about, how they related to each other- etc.
It's a simple thing, but I felt spoiled, just by having someone seated next to me who was totally ok with just being in each others presence and engaging in the most adorable way, without it ever getting uncomfortable or boring.

We spend the rest of the day together.

This is too funny to make up.

A gal in friend zone invited me to her place for Valentine's afternoon. We sat together watching singers on youtube.

She said her boyfriend dumped her just a day before Valentine's. She didn't want to be alone Valentine's so she invited me for dinner.

I joked we can burn incense sticks. she even lit candles switched off the lights! It was the most romantic dinner... until she named me wrong, "did you enjoy dinner Dan" woops. Now i know why candles lol.

I have started my first relationship only after the age of 25. It is full of many romantic moments together.

Our story started as just two strangers only, online. Without seeing eachother. No pics exchanged. Only two persons talking together.

It was romantic when he wrote, composed and completed total 5 songs for me one after another in next 5 months after we met for the first time online.

It was romantic when after our first kiss, it was red all around his lips because of my lipstick still he didn't bother about it that people will see that but clicked the pic as memory ( it was my first kiss and I had no idea that this also happens)

It is romantic when he simply keeps staring at me with those diluted eyes and needs no words to say anything.

Last month, on our 3rd anniversary I had published a poetry book having story of our journey in poetic form, just only for him.

She shares my innermost feelings, baked a sweet cake for me, drew a photo of us together, and just has been nothing but supportive & kind & wonderful so I’d say that the most romantic thing she could ever do is be herself and stay true to herself because I’m happy when she’s happy.
Together, we share a heart like when something makes us think of the other, we share it and smile from that…. There is a lot.

I arranged an evening out to the tower of Amsterdam where we could swing over the edge of the building, its the highest swing of Europe. I also bought him a watch and a bracelet which I gave to him while we had some drinks above in the tower before we went over the edge. Afterwards I had made reservations at the Cannibal, a restaurant that is specialized in all sorts of meat since my SO is a serious meatlover. All in all it was a really great night out.

My girlfriend cooked me steak and a whole dinner and walked with me around the park and sent me love letters and gave me a matching bracelet that matched with hers. By far the happiest memory I have is her saying yes to being my fiancé
