Okay to text me, but not meet me?

A lot of girls, actually people in general can be more confident via text. It may seem odd but she probably likes having time to think about what she wants to say to you. Also she's probably self consious and worried that because you do get along so well over the phone you've built her up in your mind and she's afraid she won't live up to the person she's shown you in texts. It's a control issue, she likes being able to control what part of herself you see.

Do you directly ask her out, like Do you want to go out with me tonight? Sometimes the way guys text can be too subtle or ambiguous. If you're direct all the time and she says no to going out, maybe she's busy (this happened with my boyfriend but he understood and persevered so now we are together). With my boyfriend, I liked him and would text all the time but every time he asked me to go out, I'd have work so I had to say no. I thought he'd get tired to ask again but like I said, he was understanding and now we are happy together.

because most of us are more comfortable in the "cyber" world, where we are not pressured by in-person social interaction, this isn't for just girls, some guys are also more confident in the cyber world. It's hard to explain but maybe she is like most of us, confident via IM/email/text and shy in person. Just ask her out and try to get her comfortable with hanging in person.

A lot of my guy friends I text but never hang out with.

I think maybe I just enjoy talking to them more then spending time with them, haha.
