Why do girls always ask their guy classmates to borrow a pencil or pen?

That is kinda funny. It's usually the guy asking the girl for a writing utensil.

Haha I'm territorial when it comes to writing utensils too.

I'm sure some girls do it because they're interested in the guy; it's an easy way to get their attention. Personally, I see it more as forgetfulness than flirtation, so I just ask the closest person regardless of their gender.

I always asked a guy for a pencil if I liked them. I was too shy to talk to them, and it would allow me to say something to them without really embarrassing myself. I know it is sad, but if you are shy, it is the only way for me to be able to talk to the opposite sex. lol. Hopefully that makes sense! :)

WELL I REALLY CANT ANSWER THAT CUS I ALWAYS ASK THE GUY FOR A PENCIL I NEVER REALLY ASK GURLS LESS I KNO THEM.

girls do that stuff because they like their guy classmates it's like saying " I think you are cute in girls way. So if like a girl does that to you it's because she likes you.

oh let me see. this should be quiet obvious. because they can't find there's or forgot it so they ask someone in there class can they have a loan of one of theres! its not a girl thing by the way guys do do it too ! if you don't like people borrowing your stuff well then simply say no. but like what if you needed one and they wouldn't give you one?so

I can be forgetful about bringing these items. I've gotten better about having these things around, but outside of work, it can be tricky to find one, or one you want. When I put pens and pencils in my pockets, I end up stabbing myself each time I go for anything in my pockets.

Now, women usually have purses, so there should usually be a pen (or two) around. perhaps they settle to the bottom too much, and it's annoying to have to dig, so they just ask you.

Or perhaps they are trying to flirt with you. I have no idea.
