No, you're only allowed to be an emotionless robot, like the rest of us, *beep* Well, I'd say most guys don't really know how to react to girls crying around them, most nice guys want to do something, but they don't know what to do so they'll either try to comfort you or they'll kinda stand back a bit thinking that if they give you some space it'll help you calm down. If he's a jerk he might try to avoid you or be mean, but if he cares and is your friend he'll try to comfort you and be there for you even if he doesn't really know what to do, to answer your question if you cry in front of him he shouldn't think less of you unless he's not a good friend, if he's a good friend he'll understand and try to comfort you. Well, he may have rushed to tell you not to cry, because he intupreted/inturprets crying as you being sad, not all guys know that females also cry when they are very happy. It may have been he just didn't want you to feel sad, just trying to cheer you up rather than just not wanting you to cry around him. I'm sure he had a softer tone of voice, a caring or even a concerned tone of voice when he said that to you.
