Why can't I stop thinking about him?

Question

So I work with this guy named *Alex*. He's 22 and I'm 18. I've liked him for a while and one day had the courage to let him know. And to my surprise, the feelings were mutual. Until then *Andrea* said she liked him too. Andrea is his age, and very pretty.

I've asked Alex numerous times if he liked Andrea, and each time he's said,"No" and gave me reasons why. So I believed him.

Well, after maybe a month I gave him a bj and we were this close to having sex. But we didn't. He's the first guy I've ever been sexual with so I don't know if that's the reason why I can't stop thinking about him or if its the fact that he's now publicly dating Andrea.

Any help will do good. Even Ideas on how to get over him will help too.

Well, it seems that you've been taken advantage of hun. So here's my advice don't give anyone a BJ unless you can handle him dismissing you for someone else later. Liking someone doesn't warrant a BJ or sex, heck... being a girlfriend doesn't mean you need to do ANYTHING SEXUAL! It proves nothing other than, well you can give a BJ. How would you feel if Andrea didn't give him a BJ and that's why he's publicly dating Andrea and he got you to give a BJ without a committment. Feels hurtful right? You're a little p*ssed and feel foolish right?

It's time to move on and realize that you got played and move on. It's a hard and hurtful lesson to learn but you can learn from this and recover. Now, you know what people are capable of and you can make better decisions in the future. My best advice is to not go around giving guys BJ's and/or sex until you are ready. So for your answer to why you can't stop thinking about him... you like him. How will you get over him? Remember how you feel now that you know you gave him a BJ and now he's dating another girl! Clearly if you gave him a bj, which you shouldn't do for someone you don't really know, he knows you like him. And giving a bj is having sex btw.

It is clear that you like him, and like another user said, you seemed to have been taken advantage of. Some guys just want sex, and you gave him what he wanted...not what you wanted. But it is difficult to forget about your first. The best way to forget about him is to cut off all contact from him. That's what I did from a girl that I liked. After a while another girl came into the picture and I pretty much lost interest for the girl that I liked.

The reason why your still thinking about him is because you like him alot, and when you like someone it is kinda hard to keep him out of your head. A good way to stop thinking about him is to see other guys, start dating other people. Once you have met another guy you will be abkle to get Alex out of your head.
