Is it bad to desire thinner women if I am not so thin myself?

It's entirely possible you might find a barbie doll you choose for appearance's sake - who treats you badly - than a truly nice woman.

There's nothing wrong or bad about what anyone is attracted to, but every choice has it's pros and cons. There are pros and cons about only preferring slimmer women.

Put some thought into whether you prefer slimmer women because it makes you feel less self conscious about your own size and that your preference of their body type has to do with your own body issues more than your actual taste.

I don't think all women, especially in our age bracket, are as hung up on weight/appearance as much as they want a true connection.

I'm not slim - I'm overweight, but the last guy I dated was slim - definitely in better shape than me but definitely attracted to me. He seemed to also notice even heavier women and women with slim, fit bodies too, so he was into a variety of body types. I'd say the fact that he was more physically active than me was an issue in terms of common interests and activities and energy levels.

2 men I am currently interested in are definitely more overweight than I am - I am attracted to them though, and so are other women.

I guess I am lucky not to be set on any one type of guy, because I have discovered some really cool ones by being attracted to men with all body types and being more drawn to the connection, romance and chemistry.

You know, it's a little disconcerting when a guy wants you because you are thin, but he won't extend the same courtesy to you. Why is it wrong for a fit woman to want her man to be fit too? Not talking about body builder status or male super model, but just average fitness. I mean, for me to be slim I have to make choices, it just doesn't happen. I cannot eat whatever I want and not exercise. What if I went out with an unfit guy and started eating more and not exercising and he was on my butt about getting back in shape. I would be pretty PO'd about that.

So, no, I don't think it is wrong of you to be attracted to slim women, but I do think it is wrong of you to think that they have a problem being attracted to slim men. I date slim guys and none are Ken dolls who treat me badly. I like slimmer men because they have the energy to keep up with me. I am a real high energy gal and the few overweight men that I have known (like my ex-husband) were always tired, had stomach aches and overall aches and pains from how badly they were eating and carrying the extra weight, and basically did not want to do that many things because they never felt that great. Maybe you are the exception, I don't know.
