There's a girl I like. She started flirting with me a few weeks ago. I started talking to her, brief exchanges in the hallways around the university - which she seemed delighted by - I asked her out, she said maybe, I asked her again days later, she said we should plan to get together after break - I asked her after break, and she said "Yes, but I'm just really crazy right now". I was going to ask her again in a few days, "when can we get together? " - but, one thing keeps popping up in my mind - on two separate occasions, she has made "Stalking" jokes.
Once when I ran into her as I walked around a corner, she laughed and said something about me stalking her - the second time was the last time we spoke, I asked if I had indeed seen her working at a restaurant I past by during the weekend - and she said "now you can stalk me"
What does she mean by this? She smiles and laughs when she says it and gives me a lot of direct eye contact - I'm just not sure what she means underneath it all by bringing "stalking" up. I have made absolutely "Zero" attempt to find/follow her - and often I find her following me, or staring at me from across a distance.
What does she mean to imply by making these stalking jokes?
Is she using it as a metaphor? She is, what I suppose one would call, a bright woman - she is in the college honor system after all. So could this just be a brainy way of teasing me, and in her way letting me know she likes my attention?
Points awarded for all answers - please don't just write "cheese burger" as a response =)
Sounds like it's just her cute and quirky way of telling you that she likes the attention from you. She's trying to tease you in a good way and get you're brain wrapped around her by wondering this lol. And obviously it's working! So congrats and good luck! Oh and btw. Turkey burger lol(hey it wasn't cheese burger)
I doubt she actually thinks you're stalking her otherwise she would probably display more of a "back off" kind of behavior towards you and from what you say she's not. In fact it sounds like the opposite. All women like to be pursued ;-) It sounds totally innocent. =)
First - she's totally enjoying the fact that you're chasing her. You do like her, and she knows it clearly. She's enjoying being chased by you.
Now depending on the kind of woman she is, if she's extraordinarily intelligent she could be manipulating you - messing with your emotions, you know? She does not necessarily want to hurt you, but she doesn't want to hand herself over easily at all. Or, if she doesn't look so evil, she's just playing games with you :)
You mentioned that you often find her following you or staring at you. She likes you for sure - to a certain extent since you guys haven't been intimate yet. What I suggest you do is just keep presenting yourself as a genuine, honest, trustworthy decent guy who wants something more than just fun and games. Wait and observe for a few more times. If you're getting sick of it, stop making any contact with her - most likely, like the majority of girls, she will become anxious and she will come find you. Stalk you for real, even.
