So there is this guy in my science class who is kind of quiet but really funny and nice. He makes a ton of eye contact with me randomly and is always trying to make me laugh. He seemed to be flirting with me a lot and so I recently asked him to the Sadie Hawkins dance. He seemed interested when I asked him and then he said he'd get back to me. He kept looking at me and seeming all nervous for a couple days until finally he got back to me and was super nice and kept looking into my eyes like he felt really bad and was like "thank you so much for the invite but I don't think I'm going to the dance. I was going to get back to you yesterday but I didn't get the chance" and I was just like "no problem don't worry about it, etc" my friends all say that they have never seen him at dances but they saw him at this party once and he seemed pretty uncomfortable dancing and that this girl tried to dance with him and it was really awkward. Also, a bunch of girls think he's really cute and like him too so it could just be that he doesn't want to hurt the feelings of the other girls that like him. He's really Christian and modest though so even though he's really cute he doesn't let it go to his head. My friends say that dances probably just aren't his scene. Yesterday he looked kinda sad all day and I saw him sitting alone outside the school waiting for a ride and as I drove away I saw him watch my car drive away. I think he feels really bad and I'm not sure why. Could he still like me even though he's not going to the dance with me?
