I can't tell what this guy is thinking. I think I am getting signs that he is interested but maybe you could help me out. What do you think?
1. He does A LOT of eye contact with me and me with him when we are talking, and lately he's been asking a lot about my ex to see if we are still talking (we broke up about 6 months ago), and he says it's great that I am standing up for myself. 2. He has started complimenting me lately, but only when I am alone. Once he told me I looked really pretty that day, then that he liked my hair, and the next time he liked my shirt. 3. I've noticed he comes over and stands close next to me and starts picking hair or something off my shoulder. My girlfriend told me that could be a sign, because guys don't do that if they don't like you. 4. Hot and Cold: One day I see him, and he is hugging me and play fighting with me constantly. The next day, nothing. 5. This part is where I am really confused. He is always saying we should hang out but doesn't follow through. Like, we should get coffee one night, etc. Right now he doesn't have a car because he sold his other one, and he was saying when he gets a new car he wants to hang out. And I said jokingly, but you had a car before and we didn't hang out! And he said, "But that's different. " When I asked why he just kind of laughed. Agh. 6. We were texting a lot last night and I asked him if he wanted to hang out because my plans fell through. He said, "I would love to but I have no car or money lol. " And then he said he was on his way to dinner with his family and he would text me after, but he never did.
I don't know what to think. Should I just be patient? It seems like every time I see him I see a new "sign," but he knows I want to hang out and it never gets there. Do you think he's even interested? Help!
Update: Update: So yesterday I saw him and he said "You look really cute today" and he told me my ex really messed things up. I don't know though, I know he doesn't have a girlfriend but I have a feeling he is hooking up with someone or dating someone. Agh.
