A girl I had a crush on in high school which I was acquainted with. I would have done it then, but things were complicated and I stopped going to that school. Now I realize the opportunity that passed me by, and wish to give it a try although any chance of a physical conversation is very low. That means, my only chance is through the internet. Personally I think it wouldn't work, but as my friends have said, "if its the only way. Its the only way," so what is your take on the matter? if the answer is yes, how should I go about doing it? straight out, or just casual chat.

If you have an opportunity, take it. Nothing is worse than regretting not doing or saying something. Approach her casually, ask her how she's been, what she's doing, school, work, family, the usual questions. I can't stress enough how painful it is to go on living your life never knowing what could've been.
