I met this guy on Facebook. Never met him before. Anyways, I got a new haircut and put my new picture on Facebook. He usually never really compliments me like this. We just talk about school, and joke around about stupidity. lol. But he said one day in his msg "by the way, you look really nice in your new picture!" What does it mean when I guy says this? Does he really mean it? Is saying this to a girl nicer than saying "you look hot" If a guy cared about you, or liked you, what is the thing they would say that shows that they respect you?

As a guy who hasn't met you yet, it probably means he'd like to meet you cause he finds you attractive. Not sure what else you could think it means. Guys are straightforward. :P

Yeah, I wouldn't mind meeting him, but he lives in the USA, and I live in Canada. It isn't that close. :( I don't even know if he even likes me in that way. . . - 3 months ago
