Was he doing this on purpose? I'm really curious!

So the guy I like is in a sport with me and we went stretching, so me and my best friend were all in a circle and *joe* (the guy I like) stood on the other side of my friend. anyway we had to lay down and the stretches he was some across from me so we layed on the ground we had to open our legs a lot. When it came to our next stretch my friend had to get up and go to the bathroom. (we're all spreaded out on the floor in the circle) anways when she went to the bathrom joe scooted closer to me, I watched a little bit and he took her spot but was closer. then we had to switch arms (something like a push up but were on one side) so then he turns to where I am and lifts himself up and looks at me, and I was just curious I looked down and I saw a *bamn!* my butt was facing his *bamn!* too. Then my buddy came back and she went to get back in her spot and she's like why are you guys so close? it wasnt this close before... do you think he did this on purpose to get close to me? today I had threw a banana at past him and he turns over he's like wtf was that for and then he smiled so I don't really know if he's pissed off or not do you think he is?
