At my ex husbands bachelor party they went to a Reds fest in Cincinnati. I met up with them with a van to take all of their drink butts home (and to think he gave me up) anyway, I went to get them and my ex husband was passed out in the porta potty on the ground inside of it with his head in pee. And I married this winner.
I've never actually -attended- a bachelorette party, but when I was studying in Edinburgh I came across a hen night one Saturday when I was out with friends. The women were all completely smashed, stumbling around in the street in skirts that were so short they only covered half their rear ends and little pink glittery rabbit ears, and a group of them almost got hit by a taxi because they insisted on walking straight down the middle of the street. When the taxi driver started to honk at them, they just surrounded the car and began cursing at him and making rude gestures.
Oddly enough, the bride-to-be was following behind them, absolutely mortified, trying to get them out of the road and apologizing profusely to the driver. It was really amusing.
The worst: the bachelor got drunk and had sex with a hooker while his wife to be walked in on them!
The best: a bachelor who actually ignored the temptation of a hooker even offering him a blow job all he said "no thanks give one to my friend but I'm in love with my girl! "
Damn did that actually happen to someone you knew? - 10 months ago

Best thing I saw was during my friend's Nick's party. We were at a pub with a dart board and he, despite being an average dart player, hit 15-20 (might have been more) throws in a row. First it was bulls-eyes, then random numbers we'd pick or the waitress would pick. It seemed like an auspicious sign. It passed and things settled in to normal, but for a moment he had the Midas touch.
A loud pumping music bachelor's party dancing mad with viking hats, no shirts and shots and beer CRASHING a chilled background music bachelorette party sitting talking about wedding plans with a bottle of white wine and fully dressed JOINING in harmony for a SMASHING night out clubbing in town, and at last a cool dip in a pool on top of a skyscraper underneath the night sky in the middle of town, and then a few more drinks and talks, and then off to bed...
Not to be a prude or anything, but this begs a question. If wild and immoral things happen, and are encouraged at these parties, and the bride/groom are supposed to behave, what is the purpose of them? I've been to a few, and I've always wondered that!
I think it's a way for friends to rub it in your face that your never again going to be with another woman. And also to just go out and have a good time with your buds! Who doesn't want that? - 10 months ago
