The first link is kind of similar to what I do. I workout every other day though for an hour, and do cardio for the the first 15 minutes of the workout. I'm not sure if you want dieting tips too, but if you cut out all simple carbs like white breads and sugars and only eat complex carbs like whole grain bread it will help you to lose weight too.
