We have been fighting about the dumbest things. He is trying to finish school and work full time. I am fixing to finish school and work too. He said he still loves me. He does not feel the same spark when we first met. He wanted space and for the past two weeks I have not given it to him. I know I need to give it to him, I really want to make it work. we never get the chance to sit down and talk about the things that bother us. We just bottle it up and that is bad. He still loves me and wants to be with me, but thought only wanted marriage, which I do sometime, but not until I finish school. I know we can be together I just need to know what should I do? My ex boyfriend thought I was too fat at a size 5 and I started believing it. He cheated on me with my best friend and said he fell out of love with me. How the hell do I get over the past and fix my current relationship?

Seems like the past was painful. You need to talk to your boyfriend and tell him how you feel. It says a lot that you know that you have trust issues. Share this information with him.

Even if he doesn't respond at least he knows where you are coming from. My best suggestion to getting over the past is to not judge your bf. Don't assume he will act like your ex in certain situations.

This is easier said than done. If he needs space after you talk to him, then give it to him. Don't see it as "giving him space" see it as both of you clearing your heads. Use the time to analyze what your next move will be.

You guys are going through a lot, without being at each others throats. Wouldn't you want to be each others support system in this hectic time in your life, as opposed to adding to one another's stress level?

Good Luck.
