Keeping a secret from her........

Question

My best friend of 15 years and I tell each other everything. I mean everything from our bedroom stories to that time of the month everything! Well there is a big secret I have been keeping from her and it is driving me insane because I have no one to talk to about it!

My big secret is That I have been seeing her brother for the past 2 months. The thing is he is a few years older then me so not only her, nobody knows!

This was something I wanted for so long and I am over teh moon about it but I can't tell anyone! Him and I promised to keep it to ourselves until we know this will last!

I need to tell her I want to tell her But I just can't yet. I don't know what to do?

well she will find out eventually.and if you guys break up then she might still find out about this because you and him will react different with each other and she would probably notice and would know you kept this behind her back and that might not end so good.

i don't see what the problem is with her knowing? I mean if my best friend was with a brother of mine then I would happy.(maybe jumping to conclusions) but the idea that if they got married we would be like sisters :D

so it seems that you want to tell her but it's just the promise that is in the way with you and him, but I mean if you guys really love each other or w/e then he should understand that you want to tell her. if you break it off with him then that's it, but she is ure best friend and you don't wanna lose her, you should talk to him about it, how much it means to you that you must tell her and (he should agree.otherwise how can you agree on anything?)t when he agrees you can proceed to tell her.

Just fess up, blurt it out like, so me and your brother started seeing each other  a while ago, I'm really sorry I didn't tell you. My only reasoning here is that good friendships are essential to ones health and wellbeing, romantic relationships come and go, and this one likely will too. Don't put a guy above your friend, because it will only create tension and distrust, and in the end won't be worth it.

Well, I think that something you could do would be to let your boyfriend break it to her since she is his sister.  That way, if it doesn't go well, you wouldn't have to deal with it right away.  Also, he is her brother, so naturally, she would probably take the news better from him, unless there is a reason she wouldn't, such as being jealous or just not thinking the two of you would be good together.  She would probably tend to have more respect for you if he broke the news to her, also, because she should have respect for who her brother is dating, because it's his choice of who he dates, not hers. ask her what she would do if her brotherr ever went our with one of her best friends and I'd she won't be too mad then break it to her gently
