What does it mean when your ex-boyfriend holds you, kisses you on the top of the head, and holds your hand?

My ex-boyfriend broke up with me then said he wanted to stay friends. About a month later, he was holding me and kissed me on the top of my head. He held me for longer than necessary and when we pulled away he slipped his hand in mine. What does that mean, or does it mean anything at all?

I saw him the other day and he hugged me again and kissed my forehead this time. He said that it was good to see me and just held me for a while. He let go and acted like he wanted to hold my hand, but his dad walked up beside him.

When I left I ran into his mom and she started talking to me like we'd never broken up and then she told me to call sometime, because he missed me. Not sure what that's supposed to mean, or if it's supposed to mean anything.
