I seem to be in-between a medium and a large. I have a broad chest and shoulders but a short torso and a 32-33 waist. This means that if I wear a large shirt, it looks sloppy and hangs noticeably to the front or back when I'm standing. If I wear a medium, it usually looks fine--unless I have to bend over, at which point I end up flashing my lower back for all the world to see.

Anybody know where I can find shirts that might fit me a little better? And if I can't, should I go with too big and sloppy or just slightly too small?

Update: EDIT: I'm lookimg in particular for t-shirts, maximum $30.    2 months ago

Well, you can put a shirt under it, which will take up some of the extra space and give you the layered look. You can also have these suckers tailored for a usually cheap price, which is always good. It gives a finished look and makes sure the shirt fits perfectly. You can also buy the medium, but go for shirts that look much longer than regular shirts. This has become a fad for guys and girls. And if a shirt is too short, I always put a thin tank on under it to give the layered look while also hiding the length issue.

Try to go to a store that has an abundance of button up shirts, try some on and look at the sizes. I have the same exact problem, to a T, with the sizes and stuff. I tried on a bunch of shirts in between medium and large and found out I need a size 16 and3/4' by 32/33', whatever that means, lol. And that's for my work shirts. the shirt I'm wearing now is a gap button up and it fits pretty good, although it just says large on it.

Question Asker Those places are too expensive and not my style. I'm talking more graphic tees no more than $30, with no big brand name logos. - 2 months ago

I'm totally with you on this. American shirt are a strange cut, too big, too short, baggy and tight in all the wrong places. I've given up and only buy shirts when I'm back in Europe or from European shops when I'm in the US.

So you can either fly over to Spain/London to go shopping or you can buy from European shops in US.

I'm not sure the moderator will allow me to say the name of the European shops, so I'll do that in a second post and see if it gets removed.
