(metrosexual boys = boys that shave their legs, love to go shopping, spend more time in the bathroom than you do and dress like homosexuals)

are you attracted to them or do you ignore them? would you f*** them or do you find them disgusting? are they too feminine? or do you think they are manly, because they are brave enough to dress the way they want and don't give a sh*t what other people think?

My metrosexual is a perfect mix  - he's tough and capable in that he works with heavy equipment and hunts nearly daily, its so hot to see him hogtie and bar a wild hog, but he is SO sensitive and sweet.  He cries openly and sings.  He's enlightened and loves luxuries like 800 count sheets, leather seats in his truck, girlie music, wine and gourmet food.  it is SO SEXY!  And we have the HOTTEST sex I have ever had!  Multiple orgasms at least twice a day.  We've been together a year and every time I think about him or having sex with him, I get the most intense butterfies in my stomach.  I used to date overly-masculine redneck types until my ex husband turned out to be a wife beating macho brawling jerk.  I feel like God rewarded me for those 10 years of hell with my metrosexual...he is my DREAM come true!   We go out and party like rockstars til dawn and then lay on the floor the next day drinking away our hangovers with wine, listening to music, crying and baring our souls.  A lot of people make comments to me like they think he is gay and I just think what idiots they are.  If they only knew he was 10x more man than their wannabe homophobic men!  Oh, and did I mention, he owns his own heavy equipment business and is very very successful.  He's PERFECT.

I personally don't care for guys who go to that extent but it has more to do with the being so high maintenance than anything. Guys don't like high maintenance girls why would we want a high maintenance guy?

As far as being attracted to them I guess it just depends. From what you described if I ever met a guy like that I'd probably think he was gay but I know a lot of gay guys who are extremely attractive. So I guess the being attracted to them thing would just depend like it does when it comes to being attracted to any other person. I would never ignore someone just because they chose to be like this. Being metrosexual doesn't make them a bad person.

Like I said before if I ever met someone like this I'd probably think they were gay so I guess it does kind of make them pretty feminine. But that doesn't mean their disgusting. People like what they like and they can't help it so why punish someone for it?

I probably would never date a guy like this but I would have respect for him. Anybody that can stand up and wear what they want and be who they want to be regardless of what everybody else thinks deserves respect in my book.

love to go shopping? well, I hate going shopping so if he can have fun with it, I don't mind at all.

i go natural a lot, plus I commute mornings so I don't have the luxury to spend a lot of time getting ready. I find it a little strange when guys spend more time than girls getting ready. and I generally prefer more manly guys. but as long as it's not a ridiculous amount of time, like anything over 20min in there, I guess I don't really care.

by dress as homosexuals, I'm not really sure I follow... like pink shirts and such? preppy look? some guys pull off the pink shirts quite well. and I prefer the preppy look. but overall, if he cares too much about brands and fashion and matching, then he's just gone way over my head.

i don't find them disgusting. I wouldn't f*** them, but I wouldn't ignore them. depending on the person himself, I might be attracted to one. and they could make cool friends.

they are definitely not manly. I don't see it as very brave either considering it's such a huge trend nowadays anyways.

Nah, I don't think I'd ever be attracted to someone like this. Not because I need to be "protected" or anything like that, I can take care of myself. It's just that I have several female friends that are the same way you described - extremely high maintenance, very concerned with appearances, etc. and it gets very annoying in large doses. Having a boyfriend like that is pretty unfathomable for me. That's just not the sort of guy I go for.

But it's not like I wouldn't be friends with a 'metro' guy. On a friend level, metrosexual behavior wouldn't matter at all, it's just not something I'm romantically attracted to.

What I don't understand is, why go through all that trouble (shaving, waxing and matching your clothes to the fashion thing) when you can get laid... not doing those things?

I mean, if waxing your nuts got you laid more often then yes... my nuts would be smooth as possible but it doesn't matter.

If I can get laid being presentable and having a socially adjusted personality, I'd stop there.

I think metro dudes are like dudes with over the top big truck, bling bling chains and big wings on their cars. Compensation for an absence of substance. I'm talking about a day to day basis of attire, not special occautions.

Personal opinion: I like my man to be a man. I don't mean that metrosexuals are not men, I just mean that they are often mistaken for being gay and therefore are are automatically put in the "friend" category by women, which is hard to get out of.

I don't know why any guy would want to shave his legs unless it was for charity, or dress like a homosexual if he's not, but if it makes him happy then he should stick his manicured finger up to the world and strut his stuff none the less. There's someone out there for everybody and beauty is in the eye of the beholder!

Honestly, as a tomboyish girl, I've seen the hypocrisy of gender stereotypes and how they impact people. Fortunately, I live in a day and age where it's more acceptable for people to develop a style they are comfortable with which in turn makes them happier with themselves, and thus more suitable partners, whatever their style may be. I am dating a guy that is metrosexual. He is very masculine, yet has a great sense of clothing style and keeps his nails clean. He doesn't spend an hour in front of the mirror by any means but pays attention to his physicality enough to look and smell good when we go out. He is sexy as hell and women stare everywhere we go. I am so proud to be with a man that cares about how he comes across and is happy with himself, that's the best thing.

You are sopposed to be the ones telling us to "huryy up and quit putting make up on" "lets go already" when the girlfriend has to rush the boyfriend out of the bathroom becase he had been in there 45 minutes tweezing and manscaping. oh and lets not forget the hair gel. that included with tanning minutes at the salon, its like dating your sister or gay friend...maybe I went over board..but I really don't carefor that look for men, its unappealing, a massive turn off and how is that image going to scare a burgler away. hmmmmmmmmmmmm shaving the legs is a LITTLE weird but if ya got REALLY dark hairy gorilla legs, I guess shaving wouldn't be bad, its your preferance really.

I think its nice that a guy would take time to get themselves ready and care about what they look like. its like FINALLY a guy who understands what we go trough! but I don't think the way you dress, or how long you take dressing, affects TOO much of what I think a persons character is. It doesn't bother me though, theyre just like everyone else, they have their own way of how they like to present themselves, doesn't everyone?

Those supposed "feminine qualities/interests" not only helps to improve their appearance, but makes it so there is more common ground between the male and female (ie. more to talk about, more to do together). I think it all depends on the girl. Personally, I like a guy who knows how to embrace his inner personal hygiene. If he dresses nicely and smells good, I'm happy because I know that he respects himself enough to take care of himself and dress well and self respect is also attractive.
