Better Than Your Average First Date Idea of A Dinner And A Movie

Toss the dinner and a movie idea aside and try something new and creative for your first date with that someone new. No, we are not recommending you go skydiving on the first date; but we do suggest you try one of our listed ideas that will also get your heart racing, as if you two were plummeting hundreds of feet from the sky. We hope you both will be falling, but just falling for each other!

1. Picnic

Picnic

A picnic says PICK-ME! Bring a blanket and grab some sandwiches from your local deli and maybe some strawberries and fruit dip and you are set.

2.Drive-In Movie

Drive-In Movie

The drive-in movie theater used to be your parents’ and maybe even grandparents’ old stomping grounds, but this retro first date idea might just be what you need to make a great first impression. Romantic and casual, a drive-in movie is an opportunity for you to butter up something more than your popcorn!

3. Bowling

Bowling

Bowling is a classic date idea that is fun and competitive. The slow paced sport will give you both a chance to talk and get to know each other in between frames. Do not be embarrassed if you have to bowl “granny style,” we know you just want an excuse to bend over!

4. Cooking Class

Cooking Class

Check out the culinary school or community college nearby and take a cooking class with your date. Not only will you sharpen your skills in the kitchen, but hopefully you both will cook up a love connection.

5. Ice Skating or Rollerblading

Ice Skating or Rollerblading

It does not have to be the holidays to go ice skating. A fun first date can be you two skating or falling into each other’s arms. Hold hands to help each other stay on your feet. Ice Skating and rollerblading require balance, but this first date will show if you two can balance each other out!

6. Catch the Game

Catch the Game

If you and your date are sports fans then catching the game would be the perfect first date. If you cannot get tickets to the BIG game, go to a local sports bar and see whose team comes out on top. Enjoying each other’s company in this casual setting will test your chemistry and team spirit! If you are feeling confident, have a little wager with your date… for example, if your team wins, you win a kiss.

7. Volunteer

Volunteer

There is nothing like tugging at someone’s heart strings with community service. Volunteer for a cause close to your heart, whether it is a soup kitchen, animal shelter, or convalescent home; your date will eat up the soft caring side of yours. Animal shelters are a good place to start because you can use the adorable puppies as a wingman if you cannot find the words to say while scooping poop up with your date.

8. Break a World Record

Break a World Record

Flip through the Guinness Book of World Records, and plan to attempt to break a record with your date.

9. Arcade

Arcade

“Quit playing games with my heart”… don’t play games on the first date unless you are at the arcade. Buy a couple dollars worth of quarters and get competitive with your date. Maybe they will win you a prize or vice versa.

10. Miniature Golf

Miniature Golf

Do not get too competitive! Use miniature golf to get to know each other while you wait your turn. You can even use it as an excuse to get close if you ask your date to help you with your swing.
