Oh man I love it; when I was younger and skinnier (size 1, absolutely no curves) I couldn't stand high wasted stuff because it looked silly on my frame and never fit right. However, now that I have a nice pear shape, (size 7) things that aren't at least somewhat high wasted easily fall off of my waist and uncomfortably sit on my hips. High waisted pants accentuate my figure and are in style-so I'm definitely enjoying the fad.
Okay, sonInhave disproportionate hips and a disproportionate backside... always have. It was liberating when Sir Mix A Lot set my people free, so to speak. We were suddenly no longer supposed to look like upside down triangles. I REFUSE to go back. If I am out of style, that is alright with me.
I honestly love high-waisted pants/shorts! But, I think it definitely depends on body type! As a girl with relatively big hips, I find that they look flattering on me and they make me feel confident! But on the opposite end, I hate how I look in normal pants, ha.
They are cute and look good on my figure (kinda like the girl in the pic, but shorter and a little bit bigger boobs), so I'm not going to hate this trend. :3
I like things to have a high enough waist that when someone bends over their crack doesn't show.

I wish everything was high waisted! I can't find a high waisted pant to save my life... :(
I'm hourglass so I like high waisted jeans because I have a defined small waist. It's flattering. I like high waisted skirts too for the same reason, it makes my waist tiny and my ass big.
I like high wasted stuff but only when it's not tight if not I think it make my hips / butt and tight bigger and it's boring.
In my country there's no a lot of high waisted stuff people just wear a normal or low waist.
I don't mind the high waists since I wear my pants on my hips either way. But I can relate in a different way-
It feels like the only kind of jeans still sold are skinny jeans & I really don't like these. -___-
Yeah I feel the same. I am not a fan of high waisted clothes either. They don't look appealing at all . I don't like high waisted underwear either.
I don't like it either. I don't think it has anything to do with body types. High waisted things look terrible... period.
Omg I was just saying this the other day. i do not like high waisted pants, never been a fan of them. They make my butt look flat.
personally, I hate pants that have a big bump in the back that's suppose to cover your crack, bc it deforms the belt and the belt is gonna pull it straight causing a bulge of fabric there.
