What's with guys and straight hair?

I naturally have curly hair...but when I straighten it I get SO much more attention. It is really weird, do more guys just prefer straight hair because its silky and looks nicer to touch ahhahah?

I am a girl and not a very big fan of curly hair.

First off, straight hair does look better to me.

But most of all - despite your hair type - your hair will NEVER look good if it is not well maintained.

If you straighten your hair too often without taking care of it, it will look like sh*t.

Besides, the reason about your problem might be the fact that curly hair does not suit you at all, or that it looks terrible when it is curly. Take a picture and show it.

It depends. My hair is curly too, but it looks well (I will show a pic if you wish) and it suits my face. It is not too much volumetric, and it does suit me. It's my head shape. I could show you a pic of another girl too - and yes, we both get hit on often. :)

Actually, I bet it's less the fact that you have straight hair, and more that you put effort into your appearance. Think about it! =D If you spend time working on your appearance, don't you feel more confident that you look good? This translates into a self confident manner and way of holding yourself, which in turn is very attractive! ^_^

Maybe you could try spending some time making your curly hair look more curly/whatever and see if the effect is the same!

The guys above, for the most part, don't get it. but scribble does. This is EXACTLY why. Its clear when you straighten your hair that you put effort into trying to improve it. Its not that its inherantly better straight, but its that, unless you botch it badly, the effort alone is all that matters even if it doesn't bring much true improvement.

also, straight hair is just a very in look in the recent years. Doesn't look like that's a trend that on its way out quite yet either.

i disagree. if you spend alit of time fixing yourself you loo like you're not confident in your natural looks. obviously being clean and well dressed is important. but fixating on your appearance makes you more self conscious and vapid and you end up looking shallow. imo. but then it depends on the type of people you're attracted to. some people just want a body. in which case if you treat yourself like a barbie doll, it will be appealing. top others interested in substance,you come off neurotic.

i think soft curly-wavy hair on women is much more attractive than straight. which is flat and boring. curly hair illuminates.

and straight hair on guys.

well girls do look nice when they have straight hair. but most guys would even get a turn on if they see straight hair. lol jk but anyways I like straight hair girl because it's a good look for a girl and also it does depends on the girl. cause some girls look pretty with curly and don't look good with straight. so it really doesn't matter what hair you have as long as it looks good on the girl using the style. hope this make you understand about a bit of the guys.

I think it depends on the girl, her face, and how it fits...I've known some girls who look better with curly bouncy hair and others who look better with straight hair...overall, the straight hair is more admired because it slims the face, and as we all know, the slimmer the face the better it usually looks...this is the reason.

Honestly, it's all preference. I like both, it all depends on the girl's facial structure. From your avatar, I'd think you would look great with either style! Have confidence in your hair and pick whatever you think suits you best!

It depends on your face and the shape of it, for me my hair is naturally straight and get more attention when I curl it. and I think it's how you carry yourself because when you feel good you look good.

Straight hair is just really sexy and cute looking to me. I don't have a problem with curly or wavy hair, I just think straight is very beautiful, elegant, and just I don't know. It just is.
