Do women check-out men while at the gym...?

This question is really geared towards the ladies. I was always curious to know whether women check-out men at the gym? My curiousity stems from the fact that I know us guys do check out women at the gym (in-between sets of course), so I was wondering if it's the same for you ladies. And if you do, do you check out our physic or something more (like how fit we are?).

I guess women are more subtle about it then us men or maybe I am so into working out I never notice. Overall I find it interesting.

Whoops I guess I spelt that wrong. Not only women subtle when it comes to checking out men, you guys can also spell better then us. I what I meant was do you ceck out a man's body at the gym or how long he can stay on the tread mill :)

I take it you mean 'physique' =P can't say I do - I'm normally more focussed on watching the miles numbers go up on my equipment, watching other women to motivate myself (I'm very competitive by nature, so if I see someone who looks the way I want to look, that's a visualisation of my goal right there) or trying to ignore the guys I know are behind me on the other side of the glass. For some reason at my gym the cross-trainers are right in front of the big glass window that goes to the weights room, so you know if you're on them the guys are looking at your butt. It's pretty unnerving, to be honest. I know people can't help but look, but at least be tactful about it!

Anyway, I don't particularly look for guys everywhere (not least because I'm otherwise occupied, as it were) so if I was to see a hot guy, I'd be looking for how interested he was in me rather than how fast he can run or how chiselled his six-pack is. I also want to know he isn't one of those creeps who goes to the gym with the sole intent on checking out girls, and isn't a total exercise freak who wouldn't understand if I didn't want to train 5hrs a day like him. If he seems like a nice guy who's just going to the gym for a workout to stay active and all, and is maybe looking at me too, then that's pretty cool and maybe I'll get to make conversation sometime ;) but no, personally, I go to the gym to get a workout, not eye candy!

So you're telling me you never, ever checked out a guy while at the gym because you thought he was attractive? Also, you be surprised that those men who are lifting weight you think are checking out your ass are more into lifting those weights then checking out your ass because, I know when I am working out and especially lifting weights am too focussed.

Ha, I'm not saying I'm the only one who can be too focussed on working out to check people out. Neither am I saying ALL the guys in weights room are staring at my ass. But some do; if you look sideways you can see heads turning as they walk off, looking at the girls on the cross-trainers. I'm not just assuming that if there are guys behind me they are automatically staring. But like I said, there are some people who go to do light workouts and just look around while they're at it. I haven't really checked out a guy at the gym because he's hot. I notice attractive people, be it at the gym or elsewhere, but I don't stare.

And yes men on occasion might check out a woman while at the gym or as you poetically stated stare at her ass but, women where the most revealing things to work at in... I mean if you saw someone walking around pretty much half naked you stare...

Not really the same thing. I might look at someone for 1-2 seconds if I thought they were attractive, but I wouldn't stare for longer, or keep looking back, etc. I notice, I go back to my workout. And really, we don't 'wear' the most revealing things to work out in because we want to be stared at; we wear it because exercise makes you hot, and you can't be dressed for a snowstorm at the gym. I'm bi and generally more likely to look at hot girls than hot guys; still doesn't mean I stare at either

yes i do, but subtle no starring at all. i check them out if they check me out. its fun lol.. as i'm often the only girl who's making her whole workout in the weight room i get a lot of stares sometimes. they probably didn't see a lot of girls squatting and deadlifting..

Well of course I check out guys at the gym, I mean I think I would be bored as hell if there was no one to check out, and I always look at the runners, like I'm a long distant runner, and sometimes need the support to go an extra 15 more minutes, and looking at guys who are running and looking as if they are about to pass out makes me feel so much more motivated that I'm not the only one about to pass out.

Anyway, I also check out guys who bench press right next to me, because I'm just amazed seeing that they can lift so much more than I can, but I don't really check out guys when I enter the weight room, because I find it extremely intimidated since I'm like the only chick who goes to the weight room section, and I feel like the guys are just starring at me, thinking "what the hell is she doing here?" you know?

Well anyway, I always check out men's asses, I don't why, but I think there pretty sexy, and how sweaty you guys get, that pretty much sums it up (:

I dont. When I'm at the gym to workout and focus on getting myself in shape most of the time. Although sometimes when its not a good workout I might peek around at bodies/exercises they perform. Fit is defined as muscles poking out.

Honestly I got my eye's on someone and he is all I want unlike others girls who thinks every guy they see is fit, so yes some do.
