What does a guy mean when he says he will do anything for you?

Ok so it could just be straight forward... But me and this guy are not officially together, so what does it mean when he says he will do anything for me?

Until you have something come up that puts that to the test, it means nothing other than the guy really likes you.

Depending on what else is going on between the two of you, I would call that a panty dropping move. It is intended to demonstrate that he is an honorable man who really cares. Now, whether he would follow through, that is a completely different subject. Many a guy has said wonderful things that he could not later enact. It happens.

I don't know about being cautious, I just wouldn't consider sweet talk as being anything more than that. Enjoy it but take your time getting to know him and see if his actions actually match his words. He should be remembering things you like, things you say and overall showing that he is interested in you as a person, not an object of lust.

The same thing just happened to me with someone who is a good friend and am pretty sure wants to be more (I think but who the hell knows) - I think it's meant to be "hey, I like you, when the heck are we getting together", but then again I'm biased so I could be wrong! I hope it works out for you.
