You probably have a hormonal imbalance, which I'm pretty sure is common nowadays. Birth control would fix your hormones but can also cause undesired side effects so I understand your reluctance to use it again. A regular period is a sign of a healthy body but also a healthy state of mind. Which is why a lot of stress can cause your cycle to go all funky.

You should go to the doctor they can help a lot more than any of us, she'll recommend things other than birth control that would probably have other benefits. I know if you exercise a lot during a certain time it can change when you get your period
There really is none. I am no girl but dated plenty with screwy period schedules. It never changed for them regardless of any herbs.

My aunt had a similar problem, she didn't have her period for over 6 months and so a Chinese lady told her to try "Rose tea". It is quite well-known among Chinese. It was really effective. Drinking it regularly helps to regulate periods but don't over drink! It have many other benefits, so it worth trying but do some research first :)
I think there are many other teas too but I have tried Rose tea and I like it. It doesn't even taste bad.
I was going to post a link with this but I don't have enough xp points , so do remember to check the details out:)
Hope ^this helped:)My mom had that exact same problem! She got it fixed by taking Asian traditional medicine for a couple months, but if ur not into that then you should go see a doctor. There are plenty of other ways to fix this problem. Good luck! :)
