Especially with breast cancer there can be genetic despositions, where it is inherited and will with high certainty occur. Seeing that her mother and grandmother had it, she seems like one of those cases.
She should definitely start checking regularly at an very early age. I think they usually say around 50, but in her case do it already now. I personally know those cases, where the women had it at the age of 32 already.
You can get a "gene-code" chcek, to see, if she has that trait inherited.
But usually it is related only to breast cancer, she could of course still develop other cancers.

I think so, cause my grandmother died of cancer (NOT breast cancer) and her brother died of it, my mum once diagnosed to cancer but was close to it luckily. Its better to get check ups done every 6 months once and keep track of it. So if it were to be detected in early stage it can be prevented! :)

Certain mutations in the BRCA1 and BRCA2 genes are common in Jews of Eastern European descent due to separate founder effects in both genes. However, mutations in these genes can only cause breast cancer when an unknown environmental factor (or factors) changes the gene's expression. However, having a mutation in such genes causes a much higher level of susceptibility to breast cancers (also referred to as genetic predisposition), but does not guarantee that breast cancer will appear.

Essentially it's corrupted DNA sitting in a cell, which, can be triggered by something, such as exposure to radiation, excessive sunlight, etc.
I think the best thing to do is to just tell her to keep an eye on it, and if she thinks something is wrong, IMMEDIATELY get a doctor's appointment. Cancer can be treated, as long as it's caught early enough.

Yes. It doesn't mean you will get it if someone in your family has it, but it means you could be carrying the genes for it. That's why there is a higher risk of breast cancer when it already exists in your family. I work in a doctor's office where we treat breast cancer so that's how I know this.
There is a genetic predisposition to breast cancer, yes, and given the appropriate environmental factors and lifestyle choices, that may manifest in breast cancer.
In the UK, if a woman has breast cancer, her children are all tested for the gene to stop it before it starts. So my guess is yea, its inherited
