By winter, I mean 30°F (0°C) or below outside, at noon. Colder at night.

Salads are amazing. I love salads and I almost always order chicken salads. I don't have food issues? Most main course salads have veggies, croutons, cheese, and meat- you're not just eating lettuce. I love other types of food and I eat a lot but I really like salads

You're welcome. I have nothing against balanced salads, I like them myself. But may I ask, don't you need something warm in your stomach to warm you from inside out when it's freezing cold outside?

Personally I prefer salads sometimes when I want to have a vegan dish that I can crunch right through. No food issues myself because whatever I eat my metabolism ignites the calories. I try to eat 6 times a day but average 5.

Sorry to say but a number of American soups are bland compared to what my granny and aunts can whip up with their old country recipes. They are not awful but they are meh. Its why I pick the salad.

I don't think salad is really an indication of a food issue. Salad after is traditionally a healthy food.
