It depends on 3 things:
1. Whether you are eating at a deficit, or at maintenance, or at a surplus.
2. Whether or not you are using weight, and whether or not that weight is enough to make you hit total muscle failure within a certain rep range.
3. Whether the current size of your butt comes from fat or from muscle or a mix of both.
Without answering those questions nobody can give you a straight answer.
If you are in a calorie deficit NOTHING on you can grow. Muscles cannot grow when you are in a deficit, but you CAN work to maintain their current size while fat burns away.
Additionally, if the exercises you are doing are not enough to totally fatigue the muscles in fewer than 15 or so reps, muscles aren't going to grow regardless of anything. At that point the only thing you're accomplishing is giving yourself a cardio workout.

It's not about weights vs no weights, it's about apropriate resistance for your weight and physical strength. Though, for many that means using weights.
Why? Because you need the resistance in order to put adequate stress on the muscles during workout. If you don't, then you simply won't build muscles. You might still burn fat though, and that's why squats without proper resistance for muscle building can make your butt smaller (but firmer).
Hence why most people should use weights, if the goal is to get a plump rump.
And you might want to consider the barbell squat. I've not tried it myself, but it's supposedly quite effective. Just make sure you put something soft between the bar and your neck, or else it might get kinda painfull
I've never experienced that :0 but I find that what really helped my booty grow was doing those wall sits thing but without the wall or just holding a squat and burpees and jumping jacks and yoga omg you won't believe it but yoga does help with the booty girl
Squatting with weight will def make your butt bigger, provided you have a diet that supports muscle growth, hope I helped hun:)

Yes... and no. squats and lunges will build muscle in your arse and get rid of fat. I once saw a 60 Minutes piece on the Victoria's Secret models, which included their fitness regime. There were a lot of squats and lunges with hand weights. Speak with a personal trainer at a gym, if you want a good result.
I dun think it makes ur butt smaller
