If it is a genetic disease, why in some families
there is only one case?
cancer can be genetic. there is a test, I forget the name, but it tests the amount of a certain cell in your body that makes you more likely to get cancer. The BRCA-1 gene is (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BRCA1) seems to be a big indicator of potential for getting breast cancer. there is a test (I believe called the Braka Test) that tests for the presence of this gene... it is highly recommended that women get this test if there seems to be a high rate of breast cancer in their family
Basically we all have cancer. It's just that our body CAN control it. But when a person gets serious cancer it's mainly because something went wrong. Your case may be genetic. For more info go to YouTube, type Vsauce (1) and find his video "Why don't we all have cancer". It will answer your question why some families have only one case.
HNPCC is a genetic syndrome that's in the DNA.. These cancers are dominant. Colon, endometrial, ovary, stomach, small enters tine, hepatobilary tract, upper urinary tract, brain and skin. It is hereditary passed from mother to children. Tests can confirm speak to a oncologist.
Because the other people who didn't have the disease either didn't have the gene that made them vulnerable to cancer or the gene wasn't 'switched' on by the environment.

Certain cancers are triggered by lifestyle choices while other cancers are born from genetics. But what is not known about cancer is that if every human being lived long enough without any other health complications we would all die from cancer at some point.
Yes it's genetic disease and not weird for it to happen
none in my family had cancer, so are there more chances for me to not suffer from it?
with a very basic answer. yes there is less chances you'll get cancer if it doesn't seem prevalent in your family. but cancer can also be totally random or be caused by environmental factors [e. g. exposure to radiation, foods we eat, and lifestyle
