How do I soothe chapped lips?

I have really chapped lips (the border of my bottom lip is the worst (red and scratchy)) and I put on Chapstick, but I get a white line of skin around my lips. How can I soothe them?

Drinking water can help as well as using a bunch of Vaseline or coconut oil on your lips overnight. You could also gently scrub your lips with olive oil and sugar then put the Vaseline or coconut oil on. I do this a lot and in the morning you will notice your lips look soo much better!

Make sure you drink plenty of water like someone else mentioned. You should also try Burt's Bees Mango Butter chapstick. It's the best chapstick I've ever used.

but seriously rub some Vaseline, on your lips before you sleep, leave a thin coating of it,
when you wake up in the morning they should be nice, smooth and healed

Carmex brand of chapstick should help. It suggest any kind that says it's medicated.
I have the same problem and carmex is the one that works best for me.
